um hear this out first-

  • she was in a mental institution
  • she escaped when zuko asked her to help find their mother
  • she joined a crazy society to overthrow zuko and become the firelord
  • the members of the society were put in prison and somehow she escaped (or didnt)
  • now, she has a daughter and a husband (who um dies later) and is living in the royal palace with zuko and mai, their daughter and some other royal peeps
  • sheā€™s also gud now
