As usual, the sunlight hit her face early in the morning. She was often able to ignore it until her face grew too warm which, of course, happened once again this morning. Her nose crinkled but she forced herself up whilst rubbing her eyes gently. Naia had only arrived in Lime Grove just before her parents could leave on a trip, celebrating their anniversary. It was strange being back, knowing that she would be here for a week or two, alone, with only Pippa to accompany her in the large house.
Well, not completely alone. Vivia would be dropping by sometime soon so that the two of them could catch up, thankfully. The thought of it made her smile as she sent a quick text saying, The door is open whenever you’re here (:
Realizing that she could show up any minute, she quickly got ready. She did not feel the need to dress up around her, so her outfit was pretty simple. A pink shirt she got from her time in Russia along with denim shorts. Barefoot, she wandered the house until she ended up in her living room, the TV on and loud. Pippa, her husky, sat next to her. She was lazy as ever, laying over her back and expecting a bunch of belly rubs.

Mateo was barely awake as he forced himself into some casual athletic clothing. His mess of a hair style was pulled back into bun that was bound to fall apart throughout his run. For awhile, he stood on his balcony, breathing in the fresh air. He felt a bit icky, so a run was exactly what he needed to liven up a bit. Although he was hungry, he figured that it would be best to wait until afterwards to eat-- perhaps he could pick up some breakfast from the cafe on his way back home… Either way, the longer he stayed home, the longer it would be until he got food. And that was an absolute tragedy. So he left the house, double-checking to make sure that the door was locked before he left.
He had been swapping between running and jogging for a good fifteen minutes or so when he needed to cross the street. Throughout the entire run, he saw no one. Of course, the one time that he did not look while beginning to cross a street, a car is suddenly approaching rapidly. At least, that is how it felt as he tried to dive out of the way, his skin rubbing against the asphalt beneath him. Immediately, a curse word fell quietly from his lips.
