“Aw, what if I wanted the battle scar?”
Aries gave her a hurt looks, shaking his head over at her. “Now that’s just completely selfish of you.” He took the dust pan in his hand, flipping it over and scraping up the rest before holding it up as if it was a secret weapon. “I suddenly feel like I can take over the world.”
“Well… I do remember most of it.”
He gave a small laugh through his nose, flicking his head towards her. “Well aren’t you lucky.” Although he did remember the good parts.
Aries rubbed the back of his neck, taking in a breath through his teeth as he leaned against the counter waiting for the coffee to be finished.
He looked around the home, giving an approcing frown as he crossed his arms over his chest. “It’s a nice place, for sure. You…live alone?” He questioned, wondering if he’d have to bribe anyone else to keep this on the down-low.

Aries instinctively reached out and tried to swat her hand away but she’d managed to stuff the bagel into his mouth, his laughs covered by the food sticking out. He pushed it further inside and chewed as he chuckled.
“How the hell can a four year-old come to the conclusion that I’m your mistress? or ‘tickle buddy’ which I don’t know what it means,”
Aries paused, mid-chew before swallowing and clearing his throat. Aries and Orion werent exactly…careful about their word choices. And with their guests either.
“Well-” before he could explain she held a finger up, claiming she didn’t want to know the answer. He sighed and gave a shrug before stretching his arms.
“He’s worse than you, I’d never thought I’d meet someone worse than you, Aries Barrick.”
Aries scoffed, his jaw slack as he flipped his head over to look at her. He placed his palms down on the table, narrowing his eyes and giving her a challenging look.
“Oh dear little Hestia. We both know if you truly thought I was a terrible nuisance, you would be hanging out with me at this moment right now.”
He leaned in closer to her, smirk on his face. “Case. closed.”

“Is that your-“
“Nuh uh uh uh uh,” she said before he could finish, holding up a finger. “Don’t even think about finishing that sentence with him within ear shot.”
She watched him get into the boat first, bouncing up and down as Preston finally ripped away the shirt from his face.
“Just-I dont know-Go!” She ushered, grabbing the hand he outstrecthed and stepping into the boat. She let out a tiny screech as the boat rocked, making her stumble forward into Leo. She found herself laughing as she pushed back from him, quickly sitting down and grimacing as she reached over and pulled him down by the arm. “Goooooosh, you’re slower than a one-legged lion who’s been hit by a tranquilizer gun!”

At his Jack Sparrow comment she lifted a brow and scoffed through her nose, titlting her head to the side as she pretended to examine him. She scrunched her nose and shrugged. “I think I’d take Sparrow’s jar of dirt over yours any day,”
Of course Leo was attractive physically. She’d never let him have the pleasure of knowing she thought that.
She covered a snicker as Preston chased after them, slipping on the water that was on the dock.
“ADELE! DON’T DO THIS!”
She grimaced and waved as Leo rowed, mouthing an apology before finally relaxing as they went our of sight. She let out a sigh and she let the sun hit her skin, leaning back and closing her eyes.
“Now explain please.”
She almost forgot now she had someone else to deal with. Aruguably, someone much worse. She peaked open an eye before signing and sitting back up, her elbows on her knees as she let her chin rest against her palms boredly.
“Preston Grant. His Daddy’s got dough and connections and mother dearest wants a peice of the action,” she mumbled, meeting his eyes with hers in her slouched position.
She didn’t want to admit it but the adrenaline after the whole ordeal had been…fun. She just wished it wasn’t with this tool.
She probably should have taken this oppurtnity of them both in a tough spot where they absolutely couldn’t run away. But she didn’t want to bring it up. She didn’t didn’t want to think about it. So instead she gave a lazy smile and reached a hand over, cupping water and splashing it at his face.
“Faster slave.”
She turned her head over her shoulder, spotting another spot further off with a circle of tree and another bank with some rocks.
“You really want to be like Jack Sparrow?” She asked, turning her attention back to him. She jerked her thumb backwards and gave a wicked smile. “I get to leave you stranded over there on that bank and take the boat for myself.” It wasn’t her optimal form of payback, but she’d try to take advantage of this situation as much as she could.
