Aries and Aurie - Current Day
"This was way nicer since we are in public. Don’t really wanna ruin your reputation, now do I?”
“I didn’t take you as the well-mannered type. Besides, even being in your presence ruins my reputable status,” he teased, stretching over to get a better look at the bike. He’d always gotten along well with Aurie: no drama, no emotional conversations that he never knew how to deal with, and just her overall style. He immediatly flinched as she poked his side, a bit surprised by it in the first place before looking over at her with an open grin, her response not changing his mind on his original stance.
He clicked his tongue and shook his head over at her. “Your overconfidence is hilarious,”
Her hand grabbed his and he looked over to her with a lifted brow as she pulled it away from the motorcycle.
“Stay away?” He gasped, slightly pulling her closer before allowing her to let go of his hand. He gave a cocksure grin. “I think it’s the bike you should be talking to on this one. They usually tend to come running back.”
“People wait for me. I never wait for them.”
He laughed through his nose and watched her start to walk towards the entrance, inviting him, or probably more like manipulating him by the way she swayed her hips, to follow.
He patted the bike one last time before following, stretching out his arms as he went to Aurie’s side.
They walked side by side along the streets, and Aries’s eyes looked upward at the tall rides he’d already been on so many times. Yet it never got old. “That one first,” he said with an amused smile, pointing to a 500 foot drop.
🅲🅻🅾🅽🅴 - Aries and James - Current day
Aries could tell the guy was examining him by the way his eyes practically studied his features. It’s what business men did, trying to see someones intentions and weaknesses before even speaking. Aries knew all about that. He chuckled in his throat as the stranger waved to his fangirling “friends”.
Immediately, Aries caught on to the accent and nodded slowly, taking another drink.
“It’s a learned trait,” he replied, giving a smile.
“James… Mikhail. Sorry I’m not that… strong with my English.”
“Hey, don’t sweat it,” Aries said with a light chuckle, reaching his hand out for a handshake.
“Aries. Although most people call me the Spectacular and Stupendous Bob. Whatever works for you.”
After giving him a firm handshake, Aries lifted a finger from his bottle, gesturing to James. “Lemme guess: do you specialize in computer technology or something? Can’t help but notice that techy aura,” he said, making motions with his hands when he said aura.

🅲🅻🅾🅽🅴 - Aries and Hestia - Day 1
Aries hadn’t paid much attention to the fact that Hestia had taken her time on coming downstairs. She probably needed some time to cool down. He could, however, assume that there would most likely be something he’d have to repair or clean up since that was usually what Hestia did whenever she talked about her issues with him or when she had a rough day.
And he had to be the frigging initiator of that.
He still had no idea why he kissed her. He could easily blame it on testosterone and define it as a mistake in the heat of the moment. But that excuse wasn’t going to fly for long. Being engaged because he had to be was proving to be a lot harder than he had originally anticipated it to be…
“Sounds good, although I don’t have swimsuit and I doubt you have on that matches my size lying around.”
“Who says you need one?” He teased, pushing aside bottles in the section of the cupboard particular designed for occasions such as these.
“I hope that we’re filling the cups with tequila and not water.”
Aries laughed lightly through his nose, pulling out a bottle of tequila as she had requested.
“I don’t know if I want you drunk in my house,” he said, pouring the liquid into the glasses anyways.
He walked over to her, holding it out before leaning against the wall along with her, his finger tapping against the glass in his hand. He was quiet for a moment until he finally let his head fall to the side to look at her. “Hes…” he let out a long sigh, trying to get the words to form on his mouth. He wasn’t drunk enough yet, it seemed, and he looked forward again. He chewed the inside of his cheek before taking a long drink, wincing when he swallowed it down. “Let’s say you’ve got two very very important cakes to choose from for your party. One’s vanilla with some mad decorating skills. And I mean maaaad. The other’s chocolate, but the decoration’s not great. In fact, it has the appearance of mud. But the taste, well,” he said with a chuckle, shrugging. “Well the chocolate tastes better. But the vanilla, the vanilla is definitely much more appealing.” He looked over to the side at her again. “What would you choose?”

🅲🅻🅾🅽🅴 - Aries and Heather - Current day
“This guy next to me told me to get up here!”
“Hey!” Aries stated defensively, putting another piece of cotton candy into his mouth as he spoke. “She’s lying sir. A liar and an immature weirdo strip dancing on your tables.”
“GET DOWN NOW!”
Aries grimaced, and followed Heather as she stepped down.
As she walked off, Aries held out the cotton candy to the man. “For your troubles,” the man gave a set of furrowed brows as Aries left it on his counter and jogged over to the direction Heather had left.
He honestly hadn’t seen her in…years maybe. Yeah, they’d occasionally pass the subtle glance at one another but they were now both busy working people who barely had time for the small conversation.
She stopped and he took note of her features. She definitely had matured over the years, but she still had the same mischievous gleam in her eye.
“So, what’s your name kid?”
Aries smile fell down at her sentence. “You-are you serious?” He narrowed his eyes and blinked, holding up a finger and shifting his weight on his other name. “And did you just call me kid?” He said the word with a grimace.
Adeline with Henry - Current Day
“What do you want?”
“Whaaaaat?” She stated innocently with a laugh. “I just wanted to see my friend, that’s all!”
When he wasn’t buying it she sneered at him and pushed him lightly on the shoulder before telling him what she really wanted.
“You know it’s in my nature to protect a damsel in distress,” he whispered into her ear. Adeline lifted a brow and looked up at him. “Damsel? Seriously-” Before she could say more, his arm slid around her waist, causing her to tense at his touch. She was about to slap his arm away, afraid he’d notice her nervousness but he continued the charade, causing Preston to take a step closer, his features bunched together in a scowl.
“By the way, you left your hoodie at my place - I placed it on my coatrack if you’d like to come pick it up, yeah?”
He was playing the fake boyfriend card. What he didn’t know was that doing that would probably only cause more issues and backlash from her mother. She’d be blamed for ruining an opportunity to further the company. She cleared her throat and and put her arm around his waist, trying to give him more of a side-hug like a brother figure. “Wow, you actually had the decency to hang it up for me?”
“…And who is this?”
“No, who are you?” He growled.
“Calm down,” Adeline sighed, pulling herself away from Henry. “He’s a good friend of mine.”
“You don’t leave coats at friend’s houses,” he said, almost repulsed at the thought of it.
She lifted her brow. “Uh…yeah. You do.”
“Well, you’ve said hi to him. Now let’s go-”
“Henry, you’re still dealing with a lot with your dog passing huh? How about you come hang out with us for a bit?” Adeline interrupted, turning to face him.
She clenched her teeth and motioned her eyes behind her. Holding her hand up, she pointed to Henry and herself before twirling her hair by her ear, a symbol for crazy. She could only hope he got the memo about them acting like annoying children until Preston wouldn’t be able to take anymore of it.
