Current Day ~ a bunch of idiots
𝒯𝒶𝓅 𝑀𝑒
Adán César Elías yawned as he stood up from the reception desk before checking his watch. The fair was still ongoing and his shift was about up, perhaps he could make it there before it ended. He dropped his empty coffee cup into the garbage can before heading to his desk, ready to get ready for the festival. That’s when a bunch of shouting started in the hospital as everyone ran up and down the hospital halls. Adán was confused, grabbing a running assistant by the arm before inquiring. “Valentina, what’s happening?” He demanded.
“Adán, good, you’re here. There was a car crash on xxx street, they’re getting the ambulance, two people were badly hurt.” Adán’s face paled before responding.
“Any idea who these people are?”
“No clue.”
“Stay here then,” Adán shrugged back on his white coat before following a thin group of people carrying a stretcher. EMTs were yelling numbers and street names as two ambulances were loaded, Adán in one of them. The sirens were loud, but he was familiar with them as the ambulance rushed through the streets of normally peaceful Lime Grove filled with ambulances and police escorts.
It didn’t take long to reach the scene, Adán jumped out the ambulance before ordering around the others. “Stretchers, multiple we have two cars severely damaged.” He slipped on white gloves and grimaced as he approached one of the cars, a blonde in it, knocked out. He opened the car door, several other EMTs around him, they started to pull her out as he recognized who she was. Addison. He grimaced, Oh dear. The blood painted the car in a horrid way and he looked down to see her leg impaled with a steel piece of metal. “Careful, her leg’s been impaled.” Blood trickled down from the wound as the succesfully pulled her out and laid her on the stretcher.
An EMT placed a stethoscope before giving a thumbs up and wheeling her away, she was breathing. They didn’t touch the steel pole, for one it could’ve pierced her spinal cord and removing it without equipment would damage more then help. Two it was keeping the blood from pouring out in bucketfulls, if they were to take it out, she’d bleed out to death.
The next vehicle, a bike, they’d already pulled out the man from under it, Adán also recognized him, Leo. He frowned as jogged over, they stuck an IV in his arm before turning to Adán who walked over. “Any idea of a cause?” He asked.
“Dried tears, high blood pressure, an intense amount left hemisphere of the brain is extremely agitated, testorone is high with low cortisone.” Chirped one of his partners, Christine.
“So he was upset? Or angry?” Adán concluded.
"Indeed, and the girl must’ve not been paying attention. We found a cracked phone with a fingerprint placed and blood trailing from the screen in a way the forensist indicates she was attempting to use it. Adán ran a hand down his face, annoyed by this entire disaster.
“Alright, I’ll ride with the girl, she’s been impaled and she’ll need a surgeon.” Christine nodded as the hauled Leo off in a stretcher. Adán jumped into the ambulance where Addy was there, Noelle was there as well. It didn’t take the long for the hospital to be out. Adán started shouting. “Take her to the surgery room, impalement on left leg, possible chance of paralyzation.” Everyone scrambled attending to the unconcious girl. “I need an IV, prepare O type, we may need a transfusion, and someone get the surgeons on deck. Get Mr. Burranton, our podiatrist on deck.”
2 hours later
It took 2 hours to remove the steel piece of metal from her leg, she had many other injuries but they took care of the most serious one for now. They’d given her a transfusion as she began losing too much blood to clot quickly. He stepped out of the surgery room, white gloves stained with crimson glittering blood. He threw the gloves into the trash and ripped off the face mask. He had left the room before Addy had woken up, leaving her with the nurse and other doctors to attend to her. He ran a hand through his hair, What the f-ck.
Day One ~ A complete assh-le

“I don’t know if I want you drunk in my house,”
Hestia shook her head, “I can hold my own, I was raised in North Carolina for Christ’s sake. Shot contest every Sunday right after church service.” Hestia responded taking the glass. She took a sip of the alcohol, the earthy taste, semi-sweet taste lingering on her tongue. She pushed a strand of hair away from her face facing forward, both of them quiet.
“Hes…”
She turned to look at Aries, a questioning expression on her face. She didn’t expect the question he asked, but she also didn’t expect lots of things that came from her partner in crime. “Where’d you get this from? Top Ten Ice-Brakers of 2020?” She teased him slightly, patting his shoulder lightly. She downed the rest drink in her glass in one go before walking over to the tequila bottle still half full. She shrugged slightly before drinking some of it straight of the bottle. Liquid courage, isn’t what they all say. “Chocolate, because you’ll be pleased by the fake appearance of the vanilla cake for so long. Beauty fades, besides, you’re going to eat it. It won’t matter in the end.”
The doorbell rang Hestia looked up to the door before turning to Aries, “I can get it for you.” Hestia said setting the bottle down. She walked over the door to see a girl about her age, a little younger holding several boxes of pizza. Either he feels bad or he wasn’t paying attention. Both of them were pretty valid reasons for the amount of pizza that had come.
The girl shifted from foot to foot as Hestia opened the door and took the pizza handed to her. “Thank you.” Hestia said with a slight smile.
“No pr-,” the girl was interrupted by a bounding puppy who gave a few happy barks before jumping into the house and sniffing Hestia’s shoes. “I’m so sorry, Leo, come here.” The puppy continued on it’s investigation of the expensive shoes Hestia wore.
“It’s alright…Leo’s his name?” The girl gave a short nod as she frowned at the puppy. Hestia couldn’t help the small smile, Orion, Perseus, Aries, now there’s a Leo. It was a wave of astrological constellation names. Perhaps that was in fashion nowadays.
“Yeah, my old dog just had a litter and I take this guy around me for excercise, he’s house-trained, hopefully someone will adopt him-”
“I’ll take him,” Hestia responded rather impulsively. The girl brightened up, and it took a few minutes with hundred dollar bills. The puppy followed Hestia into the house, still fascinated by her shoes. She set the pizza on the counter before picking up the puppy on the ground, petting his head. “Aries, look, you won’t believe this but his name is Leo. And he’s so adorable, look at him.” Hestia said before setting the puppy back on the ground who quickly trotted over to Aries and sat on his feet.
