I nodded in agreement. “That’s exactly why I came too. A party isn’t really where I want to be but hey it’s a distraction from everything going on here in Like Grove.” I said to him with a little shrug.

Waiting for her to get back he picked up his phone, going through his notifications. He somehow found himself on that site again reading through comments on some posts and just felt happy there wasn’t anything else posted. Yet. Looking down at it he suddenly felt clothes being thrown at his face making him chuckle and playfully roll his eyes.
“Why thank you for handing me this so politely.” Giving her puppy eyes and acting all cute, he slowly got up looking at what she picked. Dropping those clothes back on the couch he turned to the side playing with his t-shirt but looked back at her with a subtle smirk. “Privacy, please?” He didn’t really care about it for many reasons that are pretty obvious but he knew he should. If he wanted to stop whatever they were having he should act differently. It was that simple yet so difficult. Not giving her any time to react he took of his t-shirt exposing every single cut and bruise on his body, and there were a lot. Taking off everything else he slowly put on what she brought him, turning to fully face her looking unbothered by it. “Shall we now?” With a playfully smile he looked up at her, taking a few steps closer. “Now I actually feel like going there.”

“Mhm” He repeat after her in the same way, chuckling after as he crossed his arms. “What got you so lost in your thoughts?” As if he didn’t know the answer to that he raised his brow curiously just for a second before walking past her to go to the door. Picking up the keys from the little table and playing with them he looked back at her with a playfully smile. “Come on now.”
Time skip?
For the first time ever he wasn’t confident going to a party. He hasn’t talk to anyone since the accident and he wasn’t looking forward to all the possible questions. No matter how much he wanted to socialize with people now at the same time he was afraid of it. Looking around the place he crossed his arms feeling out of place. Because of all the medications he couldn’t even drink but somehow he felt like he didn’t even want to do it. For him that was just strange now since that’s what he’s been doing for a long time. “Wanna grab a drink?” With a sweet smile he shifted his gaze to her, shrugging his shoulder but quickly added, “For you since I can’t.”

She burst into multiple fits of laughter, holding her stomach to contain it and Aries simply pursed his lips and folded his arms like a disappointed father.
“Man, do you find the most simplest things entertaining,” he huffed, finally grabbing her by the shoulder and guiding her further into the line when she wouldn’t budge. With the question came Aurie’s daring response, her body leaning forward as her lips came close to his ear.
“ever since you started sleeping around with girls. Don’t try to deny it, I know it all.” He grit his teeth out of annoyance not from only the response and what it meant for Aries, but also the way she managed to be so attractive doing so. His hands held the railing behind him as he forced an amused smirk on his lips and a simple shrug. “I wouldn’t know what you mean by that.” Of course she knew he’d been around. He’d spent a night with her a week after his engagement for goodness sakes. But hearing out loud that someone else was very much aware of it instead of pretending no one knew…well. Evidently it wasn’t sitting well with him.
“Ok. Maybe the ice cream thing was a bit too far.”
He clicked in his buckle and looked over at her with a scoff at her dodge on his question. He’d asked her a personal question, something against their unsaid and “professional” relationship policy. So she hit him with a question he had no intention of answering either.
He held his hands up and looked forward, his voice slightly defensive. “Fiiiiine. Fine. I get it. Loud and clear.”
When it came to Aries, diggin up and talking about others people’s personal lives was fine. As long as he didn’t have to trade any of his own pointless stories.
The ride was over before they knew it, and Aries felt slight tension around them as the got off the ride and went for the exit. He cleared his throat and jerked his thumb behind him. “I think a buddy of mine said he was gonna be coming here. I should probably go look for him.” He began walking backwards and gave a smile. “I’ll see you later.”
Aries and Aurie - Current Day
Leave it up to the world’s richest and most privileged people to party in the middle of a governemnt lockdown. The street the house was on was lined with tons of cars, and Aries ended up parking a few blocks from the actual party. He was practically skipping along the sidewalk as he whistled a low tune, his usual calm and easy-going demeanor shining through. He knew he was close when the music began blaring and screaming and laughter enveloped the area. He stepped inside the already open door, his eyes already wandering the many fine wardrobe choices. Out of nowhere his smile fell as he ducked just in time to avoid a vase thrown across the room. He stood up, his mouth ajar as he scoffed and held out his arms in an accusatory manner.
“The heck was that-”
“You little sl-t!!” A girl screamed, her mascara running down her eyes as she grabbed another item. Aries narrowed his eyes and once he realized who the vase was about to be thrown at, he jogged over and held his hands out.
“Heeeey, you’re causing a bit of a scene. Calm down-”
She let out another shrieking scream and chucked the glass decoration towards Aurie.
“Hey!” Aries yelled, grabbing her wrist before she grabbed something else.
“Let me go!” She screeched, shoving Aries roughly against the chest. His feet remained firmly planted on the floor as she charged at her, her eyes wild.
“Take a deep breath and think about what you’re doing right now,” Aries stated calmly. Finally, what he assumed was he friend came over and took her wrist. “Come on Hayley, she’s not worth it.”
She gave one last shove and Aries quickly released his grasp, backing away as she dragged her inconsolable friend off.
“Stay AWAY from him! STAY AWAY!”
Aries ran his tongue along his teeth and awkwardly turned around to the crowd that had built up to watch.
He cleared his throat and pointed a finger up in the air. “Thay beat drop though!”
Unexpectedly, everyone shrugged it off and cheered when the music grew more intense, causing them to ignore the unfortunate person picking up the glass.
He finally met Aurie’s eyes and lifted a curious brow, walking over and leaning against the wall with her, his head lazily dropping to the side to look down at her. “I thought you were all about the secrecy.”

"Heather's a cool name too." He said, laughing when she mentioned cringing everytime she introduced herself. He nodded in agreement to her response to his question about swimming. "I haven't decided if I'm going to. Right now, I'm leaning towards not going in." He told her, shrugging. "I'm in a band, so technically, my hobby is my job. I usually don't spend much time in Lime Grove since I'm on the road a lot." He explained to her.
She laughed and stuck her tongue out playfully. "It's one picture of my altar girl." She teased, smiling. "I'm not easily scared. Just ask Micah. I used to make him watch horror movies with me. I never batted an eyelash, no matter how gory or terrifying the movie got." She explained. "I'm glad you're enjoying yourself. With this crowd, there will no doubt be some drama here."

“Awww, you’re too cool to go in the pool.” I said jokingly while laughing. I scooped up some water in my hand and acted like I was going to splash him with it but instead i put it back in the pool. “Oh, right you are in a band. I saw you on instagram once. I don’t think i could be in a band because i’m too unresponsible, but i do like to write poems and play instuments sometimes” I said while shrugging. “What kinds of songs do you play? Alternative?” I asked.
I cracked up laughing. “You’re so much more fearless than me. I still can’t watch the movie Chucky alone.” I looked around at the party. Everyone seemed pretty calm…so far. I turned back to Tamara. "To be honest, everyone seems pretty calm thus far. Hopefully no one tries to throw someone in a pool. I picked up some water between my fingers and sprinkled some on her head.

The Fair
With Aries’s silence, Aurie understood that he wouldn’t talk about it anymore. She, for one, knew that Aries wouldn’t answer her question. Although she would love to know the answer genuinely, she doesn’t have any right to force him to answer it. Before she even knew it, the ride was over and Aries left right after to meet someone. But she knew very well that he was, in fact, running away from the awkwardness and tension. The question, though, is that did she even care that he’s running away? No. She definitely wanted some time alone to process it all and clear her head. And Aries leaving definitely made it easy for her. “Uhh… yeah. See you!” She forced out her usual smile and walked away.
Present
If anything, a pool party was definitely what Aurie needed at the time. She was, in fact, looking forward to the party. She took her sweet little time to put on her favorite swimsuit and to perfect her makeup. All she wanted was a good and relaxing time. Although she didn’t have an address for the party, she could easily spot the house with the number of cars parked outside. She walked in as if she owned the place, with ease, and with confidence. She looked around the room to spot any familiar faces. But she was stopped at an unfamiliar yet handsome face. Obviously, she felt the urge to flirt with the guy. He was alone and she took the opportunity to mingle with him. She walked towards him, grabbing a cocktail on her way from the countertop, and made it to him. “Hello, there handsome. How’s the party treating ya?” She asked the guy with a smirk. The guy was checking her out and she was clearly enjoying it. They had a decent conversation for a good 2 minutes where the guy was practically drooling over her until she had to duck down from a flying a vase.
Aurie didn’t understand what the hell was going on until she saw a crazy girl grabbing onto things to throw at her. “What the f-” Before she could even finish her words, the girl threw another glass decoration at her. The guy ran away immediately while Aries, who just walked in, was holding onto the girl. She couldn’t help but roll her eyes at the girl when she told her to stay away from him. “Maybe you should tell that to your man, sweetheart!” She rolled her eyes again at the girl as her friend pulled her away. She looked around the room to see people staring at her. “Go back to your business, people. The show’s over!” Aurie commanded and took a long, deep breath as soon as everyone went back to their business. She leaned on the wall next to her and took a sip of her cocktail.
“I thought you were all about the secrecy.”
She didn’t even realize when Aries walked up to her but she was glad he did. The whole drama drained her energy and she really needed a distraction. “Well, flirting doesn’t need to be a secret. Plus, the guy was practically drooling over me. Not my fault for trying to hit a what I thought was a single guy.” She shrugged at Aries casually and took another sip of her drink. She looked at Aries, checking him out a bit. “And here I thought I was the only one to take my time to get ready. Not bad, Ariel! You’re living up to my expectations.” She told him with a teasing smirk. She ran her pointed finger slowly along his jawline to try to get some makeup. Of course, she was also doing it to feel his perfect jawline, but he doesn’t have to know that. She pulled her finger away and rubbed it with her thumb. “Try to put some more makeup. You’ll look even better.” She winked at him and chuckled. She loved teasing him all the time and this Ariel joke wasn’t gonna go away anytime soon.

“Excuses excuses. Your fault for showing up with toilet paper for a swim suit,” he teasingly stated with a smirk, his eyes pulling forward again.
“And here I thought I was the only one to take my time to get ready. Not bad, Ariel! You’re living up to my expectations.”
He looked over at her with a laugh through his nose, glancing down at his own rushed outfit pick.
“Well then, I suppose I’ll just have to take that as a compliment considering I barely took anytime at all-” he throat immediately closed as her finger ran along his jaw line, casuing him to tilt it to the side and really take in her appearance today. She kept it there frustratingly long, and his muscles tightened until she finally released her invisible hold.
“Try to put some more makeup. You’ll look even better.”
He rolled his eyes at her before stretching out his neck, acting as if he wasn’t affected at all. “My powder didn’t seem to do me justice today.” He narrowed his eyes before leaning in and place his thumb on her forehead, pushing her head upwards. “Please. Do tell. Why did you fully makeup your face when you knew you were coming to a pool party?”

Noticing her smirking lightly he gently nudged her shaking his head with a wide smile. “You know I would usually encourage you to do that…” Now smirking himself he followed her to the bar, keeping his eyes on her the whole time, “but I’m not really capable of looking after you now.” He pointed out lifting his arm that was in a cast but laughed at himself for a second. That was something he would usually do, with anyone, just all of his friends. He’s that guy that would take care of anyone even if he wasn’t sober. It made him feel good about himself.
Getting to the kitchen he simply rested his elbows on the counters as he looked out at the people that were there. It looked like the perfect opportunity to have fun and forget about everything but that’s not what he wanted to do. Ever since he came back home that’s the last thing he wanted to do. Looking back at her as she grabbed her drink he turned his whole body towards her just simply smiling. She was pretty, she was actually one of the nicest girl he’s met and he didn’t want to do this to here. She didn’t deserve to get hurt, especially not by him. “Can we talk?” He simply asked, keeping that soft smile on.

His lips turned upwards in a smile when he saw her reaction: one that was taking in the possibility of fixing her disastrous situation.
“And what do you get from it?”
His mischevious smirk was obvious before his features claimed nonchalance, his shoulders shrugging as he stood back up. “What? I can’t help a damsel in distress please her strict and uptight family?”
“You don’t seem like the type who would do something just because he feels like it.”
“Well, to be fair, you don’t really know me all that well.”
Why was he doing this? Amusement. Entertainment when she messed up in front of Mr. Hot shot. Or just a plain good ol’ bargaining chip to pull out on her for blackmail should he ever need it.
“I don’t trust you.”
He gave an approving frown and a subtle wink. “Smart move sweetheart.”
“I’m not risking getting embarrassed. Thank you for pointing out he’s here tho.”
He gave a nod and crossed his arms, watching her walk away with a lazy grin. He knew without even having to see she wouldn’t even know how to handle the situation. So imagine his content when she stopped as if her feet were suddenly shot with a freeze gun.
“Aaaand, that’s my cue,” he breathed out to himself, walking confidently over. Without waiting for her to accept his help, he simply walked by and put an arm around her, dragging her forward.
“Isn’t this nice?” He said, taking in a deep breath through his nose. “You should really consider taking casual walks with me more often.”
As he led them to the game, he pulled away his arm and stopped as he watched Jackson pay for the fifth time and grab the hammer again.
“Not working out like you hoped huh?”
Jackson paused and looked over his shoulder before rubbing the back of his neck in a bit of embarrassment.
“Today’s not my day,” he chuckled. “I’m sorry, were you two waiting in line?”
“Ah, Nat back here just loves her some good old fashioned hammer fun, donchya sunshine?” He stated a bit too cheerfully, urging her forward.
The little girl Lyla bashfully rushed behind her father, putting her hand in his suit pocket. He wrapped an arm around her before placing the hammer down and walking forward with a smile.
“Jackson Vasquez,” he formally stated, holding out his hand for them to shake.
“Aries,” he simply stated, avoiding the last name for now. “Sorry to ask sir, but why don’t you just-say- buy the for her instead?”
He laughed before urging Lyla forward. “This kiddo says I have to earn my dignity by winning it. Says I cant just use money for everything. I’ve taught her well it seems.”
“Well, you’re in luck. Natalina happens to be a pro at this game.”
“Is that so?” Jackson asked, turning to face her.

One shove and the brunette went tumbling off Aries’ shoulders, her scream interrupted by the water as she fell in. Aries and the rest of his group in the pool laughed and cheered as she resurfaced, splashing Aries with water. “You suck at this game!”
“Ooooh, you’re gonna blame me?” He stated innocently.
“Oh daaaaaaaayuuuuuuuung! Look who just showed up Alec poo?” Hudson said in a sing-song voice. Aries looked over and spotted the infamous Aria, her outfit hugging in all the right places. Alec shoved Hudson, the two acting like girls as they continued to tease him for his obvious crush on her. The two of them had met at several social gatherings, and he knew she was an entertaining drinker and partier. Not to mention the bold and great kiss she’d given him a few nights ago at truth or dare.
“Invite her over,” Aries said casually, raking his fingers through his wet hair. Alec immediately turned red and shook his head. “I-it’s not that easy! Do you see how many guys are trying to talk to her right now-”
“Hey Aria!” Aries shouted out, swimming over to the edge of the pool. He rested his arms out on the edge and gave an open grin. “My buddy here says you’d fail at chicken fight. Wanna prove him wrong?”

Orion woke up to the feeling of a marker on his arm. “Huh…?” He hadn’t even had the chance to open his eyes before he heard the sound of Perseus’s voice. “Uh oh…” Then before Orion could get up, Perseus had already made a run for it out of the room. That was when Orion saw that Perseus had been drawing on his hand and arm, and the only reason there was nothing on his face was because he was sleeping with his face in a pillow. Orion got up and started searching for Perseus to no avail. “Aries! Have you seen Percy? Cause we’ve got a problem…” Orion said, holding up his hand covered in permanent marker.

Aries swam backwards as Aria jumped in, a smirk on his face as he looked back towards Alec. His face was red with embarrassment as he moved slightly farther away before Hudson grabbed him around the neck and forced him to stay.

Aries groaned in annoyance at the amount of work he still had to do. Taking in a deep breath, he began typing again and clicking the mouse furiously as if he were simply playing a video game.
“A?”
Aries was too busy to notice the little boy snake into the room, tapping his desk to gain his older brother’s attention.
Aries paused for a moment and looked over the computer screen.
“What’s up?”
“Rye Rye still isn’t up. And I’m bored. Play with me.”
Aries gave a tight smile and ran a hand through his hair. “Sorry kid. Works got me swamped.”
Perseus looked down sadly, a manipulative weapon he used often to get what he wanted. Aries quickly looked around and opened his desk, pulling our a sharpie.
“You wanna wake him up to some fresh tatts?”
Perseus beamed up at him and grabbed the marker before running out.
He’d only gotten half of his first assignment done when Orion barged into his office, lifting his arm up and asking for Percy. Aries smirked as he discreetly closed his drawer, shrugging before resuming typing.
“Let the kid have a feild day. Maybe he’ll draw us some better artwork on the walls rather than those unidentifiable shapes mom leaves up there.”
Aries submitted his first report before narrowing his eyes and looking over at Orion.
“Where’s (WHY DO I ALWAYS FORGET THE NANNIES NAME) Trish?” Both the boys shared similar knowing stares, enough to make Aries turn off his work and stand up. He walked past Orion, pushing his head slightly. “He’s got your sense of evil, that’s for sure.”
Heading out into the hall, he started to call for him. “Percy? Triiiiiiish?”

I was in a good mood today, I didn’t even mind the fact that I just jumped in a pool and am preparing for a chicken fight, I also needed to loosen up sometimes.

Orion rolled his eyes at the sight of his brother’s smirk. “I knew you were responsible for this.” he grumbled. “As much as I would love to see mom’s reaction to Percy’s art, I know better.” Orion looked at Aries and they both knew better. “I couldn’t find her when I looked for Percy.” Orion rolled his eyes slightly as Aries walked past him. “We both know that I was the good child when I was his age. Even you can agree with that.” Orion got into trouble occasionally as a kid, but it wasn’t until he was older that he really started causing issues. “Percy?!” Orion called as he followed his older brother.
