Backstory: Raised in downtown New York, Kitty lived with her mother until age twelve, when her mother faked her own death and abandoned her. Kitty occasionally got a text or maybe even a letter with some money in it from her, but that was it. Her mother had of course apologised for it, but the damage was already done. Kitty feels that she can’t trust her, and she is most definitely not giving her another chance anytime soon. Kitty learned to master her own powers by herself, using her ability to climb and balance for her own means - robbing. Just like her mother before her, she fell into the trade quickly. In and out as fast as she could, Kitty was rarely ever caught and when she was, she always escaped within the hour.
This was, of course, up until two days before her 16th birthday when a mysterious note turned up inside her home (a place she shared with many other homeless kids. They were her family now.). Naturally, she was curious and so opened the note. It was from an anonymous person, requesting that she meet them.
So Kitty went to the designated meeting place and was faced with someone who she had never thought she would see again - you guessed it, her mother. The first thing she did? Punched her of course, because that’s what Kitty does.
Personality: Kitty has always been one to hold a grudge, she never ever forgets any kind of betrayal and will only even consider letting someone back into her life after she has taken out her revenge (no matter how petty, she simply doesn’t want to look like a pushover.), and if she knows that they deserve a second chance. Which is very rare. She doesn’t like it when her allies turn out to not be loyal, so therefore goes by the motto ‘keep your friends close and your enemies closer.’
Kitty does however have a soft side, not easily found but it definitely exists. Like an alcoholic’s liver, it is repeatedly faced with the challenge of making sure Kitty can cope with life and, of course, that her friend list still exists. It’s the naive part that lets people get close, the small place within her where she will allow herself to be happy.

Why does she have the same name as @euphoriaa’s character? Maybe you should change it so there’s no confusion?

Backstory:
Just like her mother, she was trained to protect herself, and that meant that most of her life revolved around extensive training. Although she’s asexual, she’s secretly a romantic. She fell for someone who has treated her kindly, often offered her some advice and cared for her. She met them in a game, where they started off as friends, then dated in the game(which was a joke at first). As they got closer, she found out that they liked each other. She had their phone number but they never talked, just sent messages to each other every night, after she finishes her training. She doesn’t know their gender but what she likes about them is their personality, not their gender, looks nor wealth.
Unfortunately, they had to go through a surgery which caused them to forget about her, and when they asked who they were and acted like a stranger, it hurt her feelings. It was all back to zero, and she didn’t know what to do, so she just remained friends with them, no matter how bad she wanted them to be together, just like old times. Now, they have someone else they like, so she decided that she should let go of her feelings towards him, and bury those feelings. The relationship between them didn’t end very well, and that caused her to be more closed off.
Vera may be trained to be good and stuff but all these trainings… She gets bored of them sometimes but she still has to train. Somewhere in her heart, she envied the villains for being able to just cause a mess and leave it to the heroes to clean up the mess, and they make it seem so easy to destroy, take away and cause havoc she’s drawn to the idea of being a villain even if she knows some things villains do are wrong.
Personality:
Every snark comment, every eyeroll, every frustration… She may not tell or show it directly to whoever’s right in front of her, but she still thinks it in her mind. To whoever she dislikes, she’ll probably just shoot a death glare at them whenever she sees them or just ignore them. Whoever she’s comfortable with, she’ll express herself more but they would be in a friendly way.
One side not many know about her, is that she is really hard to wake in the morning. No matter how loud you shout, she wouldn’t even budge. Once she’s in dreamland, she’ll stay for at least half a day before getting up. If there was a thunderstorm, hurricane or whatsoever, she’ll probably just sleep through it, not knowing what’s happening around her. However, when she’s awake she’s very aware of everything, which is absolutely the opposite of how she is when she’s sleeping.
