Yes I do listen to music without lyrics, sometimes I tend to make up my own lyrics while listening to them.

I listen to that kind of music while writing because I won’t get distracted by lyrics. But I don’t enjoy it as much as singing along to music with lyrics

Sometimes I listen to the instrumental version of songs I like while writing, and it really helps when I need to make up a fictional song. I just put on the instrumental of a real song and just start making up lyrics.
