So… I did an update yesterday! It’s time for me to tell you all the things that happened.
I added a bunch of new plugins as well as the main update, so there’s loads to run down.
We now have the Who’s Online plugin! We can see the online peoples on the homepage and also we have a little green ring around our pics when we’re online! I added this because I had an overwhelming about of support for it.They currently don’t offer an opt out, but I’m going to hold another poll soon to see if it’s something we want to keep. In the meantime, I’ll be looking for a complicated way to code in an option!
We have translate features, but we can’t use them. This is the biggest bummer for me. It costs £80 a year to get Google Translate on this forum! So maybe it’s something we can look into in the future if I get enough support and/or revenue for it. Right now, it looks like we’re going to have to stick to English, though.
3.You can now “defer” posts. That means you can mark them unread. You should be able to find that at the bottom of your page!
We have elections! When the forums become big enough, we’re thinking of having a forum parliament of elected individuals who discuss what they want for the forum and how we can improve with the rest of the users and then come to us moderators to streamline the whole suggestions/improvements process! When that happens, we’re going to hold elections, so we have a cool new elections function to match! It’s a lot like polls and it will take me time to implement it, but it’s coming!
I have a question for all of you now: do you want me to create parts of your bio where you get to (optionally) list your Episode, Wattpad, Twitter and Instagram usernames for people to follow you? Or would you rather just put that in your “about me” section?
The new update is great, of course! Personally, I absolutely love it!
I think I am fine both ways. I could list it all in my bio I guess but if it’s possible, I would prefer it if there was already a part created for me to add username.
I’m sorry I didn’t reply to you all individually! I’m slowly moving my Episode advice threads over here (so that I can keep adding to them and discussing the stuff), so that’s taking time
