Is it a new strain? I thought they had a cure created for that plague. There have been breakouts for a long time now but they were always given the cure for it.

There have been many recent cases in the past 100 years. A disease like the bubonic plague doesn’t really go away but it’s suppose to be completely curable now. You can actually look up bubonic plague out breaks and there will be articles about it on the internet. I know there was one back in 2007 in Colorado.
