Poetry Competition - Freedom

It’s time for the third poetry competition. It’s a 2-week contest starting in the other week than the Art competition but the days will be the same.
You have until 2020-02-22T20:00:00Z to enter and then we will have a poll open for 1 day only where people can vote on! I’ve learned that keeping it open much longer doesn’t bring in many more votes.

The requirements for this competition is that the theme of the poem should is freedom but there are so many different ways to interpret this so be creative!

If you win you will get a post on Instagram and I will still get Shannii to make a badge which we will reward to the winner but I’ve been kinda postponing this…

No, there’s no length limit! So feel free to make it as long or short as you want

The bars of my cage
The melted away,
Washed into an ocean of tears.

Stolen by the cruel hinges of time,
Waves of fear and pain,
Solved easier than the sudoku of my brain.

Now you are free,
To fly in my dreams,
And sail from the shores of dirty sand.

To fly away on the breeze.
And I shall follow you,
A swallow in a dead sky.
