New Day/Week Three
Storylines to be continued
- A few fragments of the mysterious arcanatron device have been found, though pieces remain. Many believe that the side that first completes it will have the capabilities to win the war
- There was a massacre among the Naagin kingdom with the perpetrators still at large
- The successful, revised task force sent once again to Brunspar Rift, collecting yet another arcanatron fragment for Selenium. Evarius and Zelda have been taken prisoner as a result
- Strange rumours surfacing around the Dark Mistress’ true origins
- It seems Selenium is gaining a mass amount of inside Lakora information…
Week two was a lovely way to further delve into the spirling world of Westeria. As with last time, the quests continue, and they will escalate with each passing segment. Feel free to continue adding in side quests, or hit Marie or me up with suggestions. Things are going to get wild ~!
Lakora
The war has been raging on, yet the running stalemate has slowly slipped in Selenium’s favour. There have been oddly calculated attacks, as well as perfect countermeasures even before Lakora retaliates. All of which have pushed them further back from the border. The council has planned the next stand at Amity Vista, once a city known for celebrities, theatre performances, and art galleries, now the main holding point between the mountain range that runs across the country. Selenium forces are bound by the natural landmasses and intend to take the Vista next in their conquest.
Fernsworth has fallen to Selenium forces, yet not all the citizens and stationed cadets have had the time to evacuate. The town is being surrounded and destroyed, though there is still time to salvage a limited supply.
Starting in Amity Vista - Cadets are mobilizing forces for the upcoming attack. An anonymous benefactor has cast a powerful protection shield over the entire city; all remaining Lakora soldiers are preparing for what could be their last stand.
Starting in Fernsworth - Any cadet still stationed here are trying to help civilians escape and fall back themselves, saving whatever relics they can. Small skirmishes can happen here between Selenium and Lakora characters.
Starting in other locations is also alright for subplots or other conversations. The main storyline will be the two listed above (and whatever other chaos gets thrown in).
Selenium
The tides of war are finally changing for the better, and of course, it has to do with superior technology and combat methods. Thousands of aeroships have launched for Lakora as the end draws near. It seems the magic users have woven a shield over a strategic village, preventing the large artillery from entering. The massive barrier can’t discern citizens of one country to another; even though most technology is barred from entry, smaller teams have been sent in for infiltration.
Beforehand, one of the intermediate villages has to be cleared out - Fernsworth. There is a mysterious library that seems to make Selenium cadets disappear upon entry, though it’s known that there are valuable Lakorite relics within. Any remaining magic users in the village need to be eliminated or taken prisoner.
Initial position at Votholl Base - The launch site for the remaining aeroships back on the Selenium borders. For non-combative characters, this could also be a research station closer to the war or a place to set up clever devices for future ships. Cadets that are fighting can also start here should plans need to be discussed or side quests completed.
Initial position at Fernsworth - A separate group of cadets that have already launched and are making their way through the magical village. There are opportunities for small skirmishes with Lakora characters found here.
Another main location will eventually be Amity Vista as the week moves on. A major subplot from Selenium is also the rescue for Evarius and Zelda if any Lakora characters are interested.
The initial locations are just a starting ground for posts. Your character is free to move on with previous quests or with new ones.
If you want, before moving on, you can finish up past conversations or discuss in the signups chat about the planned plot.
