He raised an eyebrow at this, a bit surprised at the question because it had seemed clear to him that it had just been another effort from Peter to tease him. “Should I?” He replied, his head tilting to the side to further emphasize his skepticism. Evarius’ eyes tracked Peter’s foot as it slid down the chair, before using it to push himself up more onto the chair, a soft puff of air pushing through Evarius’ lips as Peter lowered himself onto his lap. Ev trailed his hands up Peter’s legs, slowly moving up his thighs until his hands rested in the divot of Peter’s waist.
Evarius was acutely aware of Peter’s presence on his lap, a knowledge which was even more heightened as he felt Peter shift his position on him so that he was situated even deeper on his lap. His increasing arousal was interrupted by the abrupt insult from Peter whose seeming offence was offset by the taunting grin he wore. His mouth parted in slight surprise, amusement curving his lips. “Wow, what a flirt you are,” he replied, a laughing lilt in the sarcasm. His brows furrowed as Peter went on, momentarily confused, but then he realized that Peter thought that it had been some sort of mission, the relationship. He must be thinking that Evarius had been some sort of spy, when in reality he was just an innocent young guy who still believed that love could overcome anything. “There were a lot of things that were f^cking naïve about my actions back then.” He said simply, offering a shrug.
Evarius watched Peter’s reaction to his insinuation with a grin, catching the momentary alarm in his eyes as they flicked back to stare at him. It was likely the mix of alcohol and horniness, but whatever the reasoning, he was feeling dangerously bold. He chuckled at Peter’s remark, but he allowed him to take the armour out of his hands—though he really had wanted to learn how to use it—and meeting him halfway for the kiss that he’d been craving. There was a hungry violence behind it, a need that appeared to rise from within the both of them and which was spilled over in this feasting kiss. In all of its wild, horrid glory, there was a peaceful satisfaction in its midst, some sort of sensation which brought him back to what could have been if things had been different, if they lived in a world in which magic and science weren’t at war.
Peter broke away from him to move his lips to Ev’s neck, a moan escaping his mouth as Peter left his mark on his skin. There was a second when he heard the telltale clattering of something falling off of the edge of a surface, but when he pulled away from Peter to see the perpetrator of the noise, Peter was drawing his attention back to him, his hands in Ev’s hair. If he had been less drunk and thought about it more, the excuse would’ve had a lot more weight in his mind, but for a moment there he wanted this to just be something… easy, for once. “Don’t you know? Things are never how they seem with Selenites,” he murmured as Peter left kisses on the crook of his neck. Ev wrapped a hand around the back of Peter’s neck, guiding his lips back to meet his own. He pulled back to whisper a last remark, a taunting smirk dancing on his lips. “You think they’re one thing and then it turns out they’re the complete opposite.”
He crashed his lips back into Peter’s, his hand gripping Peter’s hip. His hand was beginning to snake up Peter’s shirt when he heard another sound, this one human-sounding, but before he could even turn and react properly, Peter was throwing a dagger into the direction of the noise. It appeared to have connected with a body, as there was a scream of pain, and he turned the chair to see Odessa, that chick he’d teleported to the hospital for, with the dagger that Peter had thrown embedded in her leg, and that other guy, Magnum, who had also been at the hospital but whose existence he had forgotten about. Odessa fell, somehow managing to produce a very loud crash as she hit the machinery on her way down, which also caused all of the lights in the ship to turn on. He gaped, blinking slowly as he took in this absurd scene and came to the realization that he would not be getting laid.
“What the f^cking f^ckkkkk,” he muttered to himself, pushing Peter off of his lap and rising from the chair they had been in. He went over and kneeled next to her, plastering a smile on his face. “Well hello again,” he said, his eyes dipping to the dagger in her leg, wincing at the sight of it. His gaze flicked to Peter then, giving him an unimpressed look. “You really threw a dagger at Odessa, really?” A thought occurred to him, and his eyes narrowed as he regarded Peter. “Where did that dagger even come from…?” He shook his head, turning back to Odessa. “He’s sorry about that, total accident. We’ll get it out and fix up that wound and you’ll be good as new. But, uh…” He paused, his eyes flicking between Odessa and her friend with a confused gaze. “… Why, are you two here exactly? Especially him,” he nodded at Magnum, “isn’t he some sort of Selenium robot or something?”
