It’s only fair that we make a Ridiculous Expectations thread for men, too! They get all kinds of weird expectations thrown upon them by society. It’s not just the girls!
So can you think of any ridiculous expectations that people have for guys? Either common personal ones or societal?
One of the ones I find the most stupid is how some women expect a man to be bad, apathetic and generally jaded to every other girl in his life, but to suddenly change for her for no apparent reason other than that she fancies herself better than everyone else around her. Pick one, people!

How about how every trans person ever is considered a man by some idiots? Like, they expect trans women to go into male bathrooms, but they don’t wanna see “passing” trans men in female bathrooms either. The men’s bathroom has become a place for anyone who isn’t a cis woman

I also never get it how some women expect a man to pay for the date that they went to together. I wouldn’t dare to expect the other to pay for me even if they asked me out.

Yess!! Like, some women expect men to do the chasing, pay for their dates and make the whole relationship work. Lol no.
Or how some girls are like “your money is our money. My money is my money”

The expectation to want to work for the rest of my life or do manual labour, and the way people just expect me to not be interested or have an interest in my (future) childrens’ lives.
Like no. Leave, get out of here. I want to be super involved in my kids’ lives, I love kids. I’ll love my own kids even more. Also manual labour, yuck. I can put up a shelf at home but lay bricks? No thank you.

Exactly. Guys are never supposed to express their feelings or go to therapy, but as soon as they do something remotely extreme because they’ve bottled up their emotions too much, everyone’s shook

I believe men shouldn’t hit a women the same way they hit a man but if you hit a man for no reason, what do you expect them to do? Even a little push to a women triggers society. “hOW dARe yOU tOUCh hER!11!!1”
