Should pregnant women lift weights

Crikey that would be so painful hahaha

It would be like having period cramps whilst running a marathon… X10

Hmmm, I have kinda mixed feelings on this, like if you are used to working out and stuff like that I don’t think it’s a really huge deal but it can be dangerous for the baby if it’s a woman who usually doesn’t lift weights  Besides that it can make women who don’t have their shape back right away feel insecure…

It depends on how far along they are in the pregnancy and if they are physically able to lift the weights without harming themselves or their unborn baby. I wouldn’t recommend lifting heavy weights in your last trimester of pregnancy. Then again, I’ve never been pregnant, so :woman_shrugging:t4:

Bump! :wilted_flower:

Hahaha true!!

Yes!

I think this is completely a personal opinion. No one can expect pregnant women to be slim (no one in their right mind), and still, even if they were expected to be slim it doesn’t mean at all that they have to be. If a woman is a fitness enthusiast and enjoys working out, then, of course, carry on (unless it gets to a point where it is damaging to the baby, that’s when you stop). But if a woman is conscious of their body then becomes pregnant, and feels the need to still be slim, that might be when to say they shouldn’t do it to get the literal unattainable when pregnant.

I don’t know much about pregnancies but it’s always good to exercise and I’m sure it’s good for the baby. You really should talk to your doctor and follow their guidelines because you wouldn’t want to risk anything. I’m sure there are different recommendations for different people on how heavy weight are good for you.

Exercise and being healthy is always good
