The Beauty Finds, Collections, & Hauls Thread

Question for you guys who use mandelic acid and / or azelaic acid. Which one is better? Or if you only use one, is it good?

I love love love Naturium’s lactic acid serum but they discontinued it :skull: that thing was liquid gold in a bottle (still crying about it to this day)

All the other lactic acid serums are so expensive, except for the ordinary but I don’t trust them sooo

So far I’m leaning towards azelaic acid because it is stronger. But I heard that mandelic acid is better for dry sensitive skin so idk what Im gonna do.

I got the living proof instant de-frizzer because it was recommended by one of my favourite beauty influencers who has a similar hair type to me and it actually works so well

If anyone’s looking for a drug store spf recommendation

I recently got the Neutrogena Hydro Boost sunscreen and I love it

It’s spf 50 and has hyaluronic acid. I find that it’s lightweight and wears like a moisturizer rather than a sunscreen. There’s also minimal sunscreen smell if that’s something that bothers you

It retails at $20.99 CAD (I bought it at Shopper’s Drug Mart), compared to the Shiseido sunscreen stick which retails at $42 CAD at the same store

I got the MOB Beauty x Monica lip kit and the shade is so pretty
(I also love the packaging)

I was following her entire perfect red lip series and I’m so glad she was able to collab with MOB to make this happen

Skincare

Basically washing with water, a specific wash cream, then a serum and lastly a skin cream with SPF. Quite simple but really improved my skin

Make-Up

These 2 pictures is what is in my day to day make up bag. The obvious order, primer, foundation (light coverage cause I don’t like the full coverage look on me unless it’s for a special occasion sometimes), concealer, blush, bronzer, eyes, lips and then usually last I do setting powder

Hair

I don’t currently have my shampoo, conditioner and hair mask to take a picture, but that’s the shower part. All CC (curly curl method). Only 1 of these 3 styling products is CC I think, but for that I’m a little less particular

In general I don’t really value expensive brand products outside of my hair stuff (it’s like expensive sh!t my shampoo and stuff). But yeah, don’t think there are any Dutch people left but I usually get this stuff at either the Kruidvat or HEMA, but honestly I’m not too particular. This works for me sooo

Sephora haul pt.1
(this was a same-day delivery but some of the order wasn’t eligible)

The Aestura moisturizer is a restock but the rest is just me using the sale as an excuse to try some stuff I’ve had my eye on

Hair care haul

I’m going to wash it tomorrow so this arrived at the perfect time for me to try the new products

My current skin and hair care product line-ups/routines

Hair washing

1-2 times a week I go in with the detox shampoo first, then my regular shampoo - other days I just shampoo twice with my regular shampoo

Then I rake through my conditioner and let it sit for a bit before detangling and rinsing

Curl routine

I only use the olaplex hair mask once a week/once every two weeks as needed

For the other products, I brush in my leave-in, rake through my curl cream, then I brush style with my bounce curl brush. After that, I do mousse and gel, scrunching those in (though recently I’ve been doing gel then mousse)

To dry, I diffuse it until I’m satisfied (or my arm gets tired) and let it air dry the rest of the way

Once it’s completely dry, I scrunch out the gel cast with the olaplex hair oil

Skin care

This one is more or less in order I use them in
(I forgot the product on the right in my first picture but I use it after toner)

I only use the peeling gel and mask once a week

OMG! Those nails are AMAZING! Love them.
