Can Someone Please Educate Me On The LBGT+ Community So I Can Property Depict It In My Stories And Not Offend People? (But I also Just Wanna Learn More About It)

I’m 17 (Almost 18 now), and I’ve done but I’m not sure how accurate the sites I got the info from are, and I only have two friends within the community and both have the same orination. And, I would really appreciate ANY INFO whatsoever! It’s also worth mentioning I only know a FEW of the gender identities/sexual orientations.

Just write a regular character. The fact that a character is lgbtq+ should be the most unimportant thing about them

I’m talking about if it plays an important role or if the character’s sexuality/gender identity is ever shown in the story. And like the title says, I want to learn more about the community.
