Hm… I don’t remember the book that well. Why is that so?

Nice! I don’t remember reading this but now I know where they got parts of the lyrics to the “Naughty” song in Matilda. Wow! That’s cool!

Yay!

HAHAHAHAHA! True. … If you want, all the Revolting Rhymes stories are actually animated videos (with subtitles) on YouTube!

Super cool! :sunglasses:

Thanks for clarifying  I know my English isn’t the best but I didn’t think it was that bad

Morning! :sunny:

BAHAHAHAHAHA! No, no, I was saying it 'cause it’s quite fast and quirky. So even for a native English speaker, it might be hard to listen to. (shrugs) I mean, if I didn’t know the story then I’d probably have to listen to it a couple of times to get everything.

HAHAHA fine! If you say so

From The Twits! <3

“If a person has ugly thoughts, it begins to show on the face. And when that person has ugly thoughts every day, every week, every year, the face gets uglier and uglier until you can hardly bear to look at it.

A person who has good thoughts cannot ever be ugly. You can have a wonky nose and a crooked mouth and a double chin and stick-out teeth, but if you have good thoughts it will shine out of your face like sunbeams and you will always look lovely.”
― Roald Dahl, The Twits

Do you want some Squiggly Spaghetti? :yum:

“Hey, my spaghetti’s moving!” cried Mr. Twit, poking around in it with his fork.
“It’s a new kind,” Mrs. Twit said, taking a mouthful from her own plate which of course had no worms. “It’s called Squiggly Spaghetti. It’s delicious. Eat it up while it’s nice and hot.”

I once read the entire of Charlie and the chocolate factory on a car journey home from London. It is one of the most fun and enjoyable books I can think of! Also in my year six production we did a Roald Dahl theme so we basically did a small portion of quite a few stories and I got to play the Grand High Witch (I was also the only person who auditioned to be a witch)

Ok, Roald Dahl’s works are cool but some are kinda weird, of course those are not for children.

Like The Landlady.

I love Roald Dahl so much! I don’t think I would have enjoyed reading so much if it wasn’t for him. My favourite is probably Danny Champion of the World. Although, everything of his is just incredible for a young child to read.

Roald Dahl to me is such a curious man. He is most famous for writing children’s books but let me tell you. That man was not in any way, shape or form a children’s author.

He was so twisted and although I haven’t read any of his underground stuff, I know the basic content of them. He had a series about a suave man, who I will not share too much in but just know, he was up to some stuff. He also wrote a book about a woman who killed her husband with a piece of frozen meat then cooked it, and fed it to the detective who came over for dinner. Quite clever. But yeah, don’t read his other stuff if you are under 18 lol
