Elijah responded to his friend’s remark as he got to his post. In all his time at the palace, Cohen was the one person he connected with most, they might have had a small age difference, but in a way Cohen was like a younger brother to him, and considering Elijah was indeed an older brother, the feeling of it just felt normal to him even though Cohen wasn’t actually related to him. He was family by choice.
