Would it be possible for a family to be split between classes? Like one family member was able to get onto the train because of their job, and was only able to bring one other member of the family, so the other family members came onto the train as tailies

yea same, it’s complicated though, as no Tailie will ever go up to first class, so the passenger would have to be in sanitation to meet them (sanitation stinks to high heavens, which is why it’s complicated - no firstie is ever going to go down there unless they’re looking for something)
