Well…it was too late to tell them no. Maybe this could be my vacation. Esmé was still infuriated with regret. The one time she had I act irresponsible just possibly had to be signing up for this. Success doesn’t come easy, and she knew that this would mess up her routine. She took one quick look at the cabins and crossed her arms. “Soo…5 star hotel, hm?” She looked at Chris while clicking her tongue. It was obvious that he lied, and soon the cameras were pushed into her face. She took these five seconds of fame, and waved at the camera with a slight smile.

Formalities were kind of her thing, and she couldn’t deny it. She heard a few people spazzing out about the cabins, to her it seemed meaningless. We’re all stuck on this island and the only way to leave is getting voted off. I guess I might make myself comfortable. She came across a beautiful black haired lady, that was picking her nails. “Excuse me, You’re nails are pretty. Don’t mess them up because of a meaningless matter like this.” She chuckled, and ended her sentence with a smile.

D’Andrea checked her bag for what must have been the millionth time, making sure she had all the essentials: Toothbrush? Check. Bras? Check. Babolat Pure Strike 16x19 tennis racquet with matching ball? Check. Her heart fluttered excitedly as the boat approached the island. She could hardly wait to win this competition. This was her chance to be famous.

The boat reached the dock, and D’Andrea raced up to the boat’s deck, excited to drop off her bags in her room and make an impressionon the competition. As soon as she got a glimpse of the place, though, her entire mood dropped. It was like the worst summer camp she went to as a kid, only ten times worse and without any semblance of anything fun. When the boat reached the dock, she rushed the host and grabbed him by the collar. “What the h*ll is this?!” She demanded, winding her fist back to punch him. “You’d better explain yourself, man, or I’ll knock that fresh nose job right off of your face!” She threatened.

@sofia (Chris McLean) (I hope I’m allowed to interact with him lol)

Sky looked out over the deck of the boat, and from afar, it would seem like he was gazing wistfully at the horizon, a dreamer hungry for adventure. But no. Actually, he was looking down into the water, which was murky enough that he could get a pretty good look at his reflection. He hoped the water would be cleaner as he got closer to the resort. Until then, though, he was enjoying the view.

After adjusting his colorful wig, applying fresh mascara, and making sure he didn’t have anything in his teeth, he looked up and saw a tiny, depressing island in the distance. Boy, was he glad that he wasn’t going to end up there.

So why was the boat getting closer?

As he was shoved onto the deck at the island, he was disgusted at the overwhelming nature around him. There was mud and dirt and animals everywhere. He grimaced. Another girl was on the dock, complaining to the host. "Where’s the five-star hotel I’ve been dying to go to? What a scam! I’m leaving. Where’s the exit?” “Right, that’s what I’m saying!” Sky agreed, going to the girl’s side. “How can I get out of here?”

I continued announcing the campers as they stepped down from the boat and was about to announce the next camper when she grabbed me by the collar.

"What the h*ll is this?! You’d better explain yourself, man, or I’ll knock that fresh nose job right off of your face!”

Instead of reacting negatively, I just laughed. “I’m all natural, actually. I know, hard to believe when I look this good. Anyway, I’d advise you not to do that. The cameras are rolling and you could get into some serious legal trouble. Did you read the fine print before signing up? I have copies of the documents, if you read them you would’ve known what you were signing up and also not to harm the host of the show.” I told her. “Now let me go and go talk to your fellow campers.”

He stopped spinning when the pretty, dark-haired girl approached her, an earnest smile present on his face. “Oh, hey! Cael Kelly Saetang, at your service.” He dropped into a bow, grabbing hold of her hand and kissing it gently, like a prince. He laughed at how nervous she seemed, his eyes taking in the blush that was growing on her cheeks. “Mariana… Marrriannnaaa,” he tried the name out, liking the way it rolled off her tongue. “That’s a pretty cool name. I like how it sounds. I think it has pretty good screaming potential too. Wait, hold on a sec.” Turning away from her, he raised his face skyward and yelled at the top of his lungs, “MARIANAAAAAAAA!” He turned back to her with a cheeky smile on his face. “Yep, good screaming potential.”

“So, Mariana,” he said, rocking back and forth on his heels. “What do you think about them just having duked all of us? I mean, I don’t know about you, but I was expecting a five-star resort. This might still be fun though, I guess we’ll just have to see.”

A girl almost ran into her and she startled, torn away from her thoughts. Aurora raised an eyebrow at her remark about hitting someone. “It looks like you were about to hit me honey, but whatever helps you sleep at night.” “Sooooo… What make you travel so far to a ‘Five Star resort?” “Ha,” she barked out a laugh at that remark, offering a smile to the girl who’d approached her. “I’m no model. If anything, you’re the model out of the two of us.” She looked her up and down, a slight blush warming her cheeks. “I’m sure you know that though.” Aurora shook her head, clearing her throat. “Anyway, I actually didn’t even want to go. My little brother made me, said I needed a break. From studying and… everything. Ha. Wished he’d read the fine print though but whatever, I’ve gotta deal with the consequences… as per usual.” She muttered the last part underneath her breath, a sigh accompanying her words. “Anyway. I’m Aurora Dawn, but most people just call me Aurora.” She took in the girl in front of her, her eyes gazing over her pretty features. “What’s your name and why are you here?”

D’Andrea pouted. “Fine, you win this round, McLean.” She said. Then she turned and looked directly into the camera. “But that’s the last time I’m backing down, for you or any of the other contestants, you hear me!” She cried. “Look out, world! Here comes D’Andrea!” Grabbing her bags, she stomped off and looked around for someone to talk to.

The boy, Cael Kelly Saetang, stopped spinning when he heard her voice. Her eyes widened as he grabbed ahold of her hand and kissed it like she was some kind of royalty or something. She looked away out of embarrassment as she felt her cheeks growing even redder than they were before, something she didn’t could be possible. Her eyes looked back at Cael when he started saying her name normally at first, and then slowly to feel each letter of her name on his tongue. She giggled at the sight. He seemed fun to be around. Then he uttered something about her name having good screaming potential? She furrowed her brows together, not understand what he meant. He screamed her name to the sky as loud as he can. Her brows raised and jaw dropped, she didn’t know what to do. She quickly looked around, hoping that nobody was staring at them for Cael’s little antics. He smiled at her, telling her Mariana had good screaming potential.

“Well…” she began to tell him her thoughts on being lied to, “I didn’t expect this but I’d rather be here than stay at home.” And it was true, being back at home meant that she would have live through a predictable, boring routine of doing nothing except homework and occasionally make videos while hanging out with her friends. “A five-star resort would’ve been nice though,” she continued on, “We could’ve relaxed. I’m more concerned about the cameras, they’re kinda invasive.” She knew there would be cameras, something that she accepted, but she didn’t know there this many. It made her feel self-conscious, especially with the matter of privacy.

I felt the wind blow through my hair as my hands gripped onto the railing of the boat. The salty aroma of the ocean was very intense, but it wasn’t such a bad smell. I was used to it - living in San Francisco had it’s perks and all. My fingers fiddled with the dog tags around my neck, looking around me as I noticed the camp getting closer and closer. As I was arriving at the dock, my eyes glanced over to what was supposed to be a five-star resort. Instead, I was seeing filthy, run-down cabins - if that’s what you would even call them. I let out an unamused sigh and a small “oh” escaped my lips. I wasn’t surprised. I’ve been in worse areas and conditions… Just as long this was fun. I was here for the thrill - nothing more.

Once I got onto the dock, I threw my bag over my shoulder, not even giving the arrogant host a glance. Yes, I had already noticed his intentions within those few seconds. I was observant. I paid attention to my surroundings and I trusted no one. I didn’t have time for bullsh*t. My eyes discretely examined a few of the other contestants as I made my way to one of the posts on the dock - leaning against it and dropping my bag onto the floor as I crossed my arms. I turned my head slightly to see a girl standing near me. I didn’t normally go out of my way to talk to someone, but if I was going to succeed then I needed to make some allies. “Hey, I’m Zara.” I told her, looking at her as my eyes squinted slightly from the light. “Take a load of this guy,” I said, chuckling lightly as I gestured my head towards a guy kissing the hand of a girl near us. “Crazy, right?” I said, raising my brows with a light grimace.

Lionel was on the deck of the boat when the boat was starting to pull up to the island. With a large grin, he strained his eyes to get a glimpse of the island and his smile fell. They had been promised a five-star resort on a wonderful island but instead, they go what appeared to be a run-down camp. Lionel sighed and went inside. He put all his belongings together and settled himself into the seats that were there. He was angry, scratch that, he was furious. He had been played and there was no way he could go back seeing as he couldn’t bring his phone or laptop and thinking about it now, it made no sense and perfect sense at the same time.

When the boat pulled up at the dock he walked past everyone including the host and moved to a corner of the dock. He had resisted the urge to punch the man but he didn’t think he could stay in such close proximity to the man without hurting him.

Tequilla had tried keeping herself entertained but it didn’t work so she decided to take a nap. Her nap extended until the boat stopped at the dock. Jostled awake by the lack of motion, Tequilla got up and stepped onto the deck. Bleary-eyed and still sleepy she took in the run-down island that stood in front of her where the resort and five-star hotel was supposed to be. She was confused but they weren’t any traces of anger or hatred, just pure confusion. She was sure her parents had told her she was going on a vacation but this place looked like it needed the vacation more.

She ran unto the deck and started looking around and trying to take in her new surroundings. She noticed everyone had luggage except for her when she remembered she left her’s on the boat. She quickly ran back in and packed all her things together and stepped unto the dock again. She just stood in the middle of the deck, rocking back and forth on the heels of her feet not knowing what to do anymore. “This is going to be interesting,” she murmured to herself.

A guy came down by my spot on the dock and starting skipping rocks. He asked if he could. I scuffed a bit as I skipped another one. “By my guest” I said while sweeping my hand as to showing off the water with a slight grin. I went back to finding a flat rock and skipping it. I tried to make some conversation with the guy, “what’s your best?” I asked while skipping another one.

In seconds a girl with dark hair was talking to me. She told me to stop picking at my nails. I hardly realized I had. “Oh-“ I said as I unflooded my arms and slapped them at my sides. Then I awkwardly raised just my elbows and said, “I stopped?” with a slight smile. “I’m Milly- well my real name is Emily but no one calls me that.” I said while taking an awkward step forward and sticking my hand out for her to shake.

Her face when he yelled her name was priceless; Cael couldn’t help but laugh. “Bet you’ve never met someone like me before, eh?” His eyes sparkled and seemingly danced over her. “I’m truly one of a kind… and I’m not even bragging, just being honest.” He paused, a pensive expression coming over his face. “I should have a signature dance move or something…” he murmured to himself. “Hm… anyway, I’ll think about that later.”

He cocked her head at her, brow furrowing. "Why? Are you running away from something at home? " A serious look grew on his face and he placed his hands on his shoulders, practically forcing her to make eye contact with him. “If someone’s chasing you or something then this is a safe place, you can tell me anything. And also it’d be pretty good to know if there was a killer chasing you.” He nodded at what she said about the five-star resort. “Yeah… I was really excited for that part,” he said wistfully, exhaling loudly. “But anyway, I’m sure it’ll be fun!” He added, the pep back in his voice. “Oh, don’t worry about the cameras, just pretend they’re not there. Besides, a pretty girl like you is gonna get all the attention of the male audience,” he grinned, winking theatrically at her. “You’re gonna be loved! And here, it’s not so bad!” He grabbed her arm, pulling her over to the nearest camera. He waved energetically, throwing an arm across Mariana. “Helllllo watchers! It’s Cael and my new best friend Mariana!” To Mariana, he whispered, “Say hi!”

Charlie Morson & Alexa “Alex” Morson

Charlie and Alexa stood side by side on the boat. As her duty as the younger sister, she was of course teasing Charlie. She not only wanted to win anyway, but she also wanted to at least do better than him.
“Better me than Mark or Dylan.”
“You know as well as I do that neither you or dad would have let me come out here on my own.” With a shrug she added, “I’m eighteen now, but I definitely will accept the opportunity to crush one of my brothers.”
As the siblings bickered, the boat arrived at the dock, which was where they discovered they wouldn’t be at a fancy resort. Though they both had looked forward to the idea, they were just as fine without it. The host then introduced them as the two each looked to the others on the dock. Alexa, looking at her competition, and Charlie just looking at who all was there, subconsciously checking if there was anyone he didn’t want his sister around.

I was about to go closer to the commotion that was in front of me. I usually didnt like conflict but if it was right in front of you face, why not go closer to it. I took a step forward and thats when I heard someone speak to me. I turned around and saw a pretty girl. I didnt think anyone was going to talk to me but it was a pleasant surprise. I looked towards the guy kissing the girls hand and started laughing. “I didnt know anyone would be kissing.” I sighed and ran my fingers through my hair. “You know, this doesn’t seem like any kind of resort I’ve ever seen, why are there cameras everywhere.” I said while looking around. I realized that I didn’t introduce myself yet. “Sorry, my name’s Brittany.”

I was honestly getting annoyed as I was looking around this “resort.” There were cameras everywhere which I didn’t expect. I didn’t read the contract I signed, so maybe that information was in there. I was going to walk up to what looked like to be the leader of the camp when i accidentally bumped into a girl. “Sorry.” I said I didnt usually talk to people first but i just decided to ask her a question. " This place is weird right?"

The guy invited him to skip rocks with him. With a smile on his face, Ken made an attempt to skip a rock across the water. The rock skipped three times before promptly plopping into the water, sinking into it where it couldn’t be seen again. It was less than what he expected but it wasn’t a huge shame, it is just skipping rocks after all.

He let out a small chuckle when the guy next to him asked for Ken’s best number of skips was. “Three,” he told the guy as he pointed to the path his rock took, “I’ve never skipped rocks before.” He took another rock before skipping flicking it over the water, still only three skips. “How do you even do this?” he asked while smiling. The boy also skipped a rock, making way more skips than Ken could. “I’m guessing you’ve done this before.” he told him.

Cael accurately assessed that there was never a person quite like him that Mariana ever met before. He had a charm that made his weird, outspoken behavior a lot more acceptable that most people wouldn’t be able to. “Yes,” she said through her giggle, “I’ve never met someone like you before.” Her small town had people with the drabbest personalities, save for the friends she has, they were absolute darlings and were a bundle of fun. Cael was a refreshment from the lack of unique personalities she came across at home.

He donned a serious face with his hands placed on his shoulders as he misunderstood her, thinking that she was running away from her home due to domestic abuse. “No,” she said with alarm in her voice and raised brows, I’m not running away from abuse or anything. It’s just… really boring." She reassured him that there was nothing sinister going on back at home. She didn’t realize people could even take her words that way. Her eyes shifted down with a frown on her face while she thought about the people who are suffering from abuse at home while she was complaining about boredom.

She looked back at him when he began to tell him about his disillusionment with there being cabins in the place of a five-star resort most people were fooled into thinking of. She nodded along, agreeing with the sentiment that it could still be fun here even without the five-star resort, although that was what Mariana was most excited about. He then told her that she was a beautiful girl and is definitely going to be liked by the guys watching the show. Before she could react to what he just said, he quickly pulled her in front of a camera. She widened her eyes as she stood in front of the camera. Her place was always behind the camera, not in front of it. You could almost call it a culture shock. Cael whispered in her ear, telling her to say hi to the camera. “Uh, hi,” she said with her eyes still widened and her upper like raised in embarrassment. The thought of other people staring at her while she had just awkwardly said hi humiliated her. She turned to face Cael, “Can we go somewhere without cameras?” Her cheeks flared with a rush of red.

I watched him grin as he skipped it three times. I laughed while looking down between my legs. (Not like that you fricken dirty minded person) “ahhh okay I see.” I said. “Lemme show you” I said. “Okay so first. Ya gotta find the flattest rock. It’s like the opposite of girls. The flatter the better ya get me?” I said adding a joke in there that made me smile. “Then. You put in in your hand so it’s parallel to the water. Then ya just flick your wrist forward.” I said while doing what I was explaining. I watched as it skipped 6 times. I laughed a bit before saying “well. That wasn’t a very good demonstration but it gets easier with practice” I said while skipping another one. 8 skips “I’ve been doing it since I was a kid. My best is 15 skips” I said while skipping yet another rock. “Ay uh what’s your name?” I said not looking at him but skipping yet another rock 10 skips.

Harry and Stephan. Both seem like names that could be in a way too dramatic TV show about vampires with the target audience being teenage girls. “So where are you all from?” I looked up at the blonde Harry as he spoke. When I say looked up, I mean literally. My head was titled upwards. Both were incredible tall. Though I am pretty short myself so I guess everyone seems like giants to me. I didn’t mind though. I liked being small. As Harry spoke I picked up on the accent in his voice a little more this time. Stephan also had one when he said he was from Britain it made complete sense. “Wow, and here I am just a boring American,” I joked since they both weren’t from there. “California.” I added to my answer. I wondered if we were aloud to leave this dock and go look around. Chris hadn’t said much yet but I am sure there would be something said soon to come.

“I didnt know anyone would be kissing.”

I chuckled lightly and shoved my hand into my pocket as I looked away from the cheesy romance and back towards the girl. “Neither did I… This is definitely not a blast.” I said, clicking my tongue mockingly. “Seems as if we’ve signed up for the wrong show.” I told her. I looked back at her as she mentioned the cameras. I had noticed a few hidden ones here and there once I had arrived as well - it was easy to spot out the hidden details. “Mm, cameras… yeah, there’s a lot of 'em. You see that host over there?” I said, gesturing towards the guy named Chris. I knew a lot about him just by his body language as I did for most of the people here. This was how we spotted our targets in the army - it’s all about the body language. “He’s shoving cameras in our face for one thing only. Fame. Aaanndd everything that comes with it of course. He’s the type to do whatever it takes, no matter the cost for that single thing - so, keep an eye on him.” I simply told her, being vague, but getting the point across. I smiled lightly as she introduced herself and nodded as I looked around us. I was definitely a chill person, going with the flow and not really giving any sh*ts. I did, however, know that I had to keep an eye on a few people here. I wasn’t the one to get blindsided.

Location: Camp Dock.

The boats horn blared loudly as the pristine gold belted yacht parked. Extending the stair’s Aurelia’s white heels creaked against the nearly broken wooden dock. Aurelia tipped her hat up slightly to get a good view of the camp and what a surprise it was nothing like the pamphlet claimed it to be.

The sun beamed down on her and the disgusting murky water wasn’t making it any better. Regardless she looked great and a lying host with a beyond run down camp wasn’t going to ruin that.

“Tch.” Aurelia scoffed carefully stepping over the large cracks in the dock that looked like they would fall through any second. She immediately noticed the host who wore a simple shirt and shorts. Walking right past him and making sure to slightly press her heel down on his foot for the lie he told as she turned towards the few other contestants.

Some looked out of place, most were angry and others were…bleh. Aurelia sighed placing her hand on her hip as she tossed her bag to one of the camera crew. “I request a fresh and neat bedroom, A lobster plate accompanied with a cold drink and a shiatsu massage.” Aurelia flicked her hair back as her eyes landed on a girl, Finally someone who was decently dressed.

Aurelia immediately turned on a bright smile and approached the girl. “Aurelia, Smith.” Aurelia extended her hand towards the girl.

The breeze was making Brittany’s hair go in her face, which made it hard for her to talk. It was starting to annoy her even more so she moved her hair frantically and took a deep breath. “I really don’t want to be on a reality show right now. I just came to relax.” She stood still with her arms folded as Zara pointed out the guy Chris, who was talking to everyone. “If I have to stay here with that type of guy, I don’t think I would know what to do. I guess all I can do is think positive, even though I would like to go back to Massachusetts right about now.” She said.

As I got off the boat, I could feel a a slight tension among the group of strangers. Those pairs of unfamilliar eyes were staring at me as I stood on the dock. But then, I realised, this is not a five-star resort we’ve promised to be given, it’s just some pòlluted island filled with disgusted litter and a strong foul smell! Apparently, we’re all been tricked by the producers, I wanted to go back but the boat was already gone, far gone. I knew the contract was kinda suspicious and sketchy! Chris came to pat my shoulder and said “Hey Collins! Glad to see you here!” I ignored him as rolled my eyes and accepted my fate as I went to the crowd of campers, ready to wait others to come. That host deserved a punch on his face, he looks so… irritating!!! However, I heard the boat sound and I tried yelling at the girl on the boat not to leave the boat, hopefully she listens…
