Spencer watched as Chris led them over to the campfire, he went to grab his luggage that was on the dock. He saw a guy sitting on the edge and called out to him. “Hey! You might wanna follow the host.” He said pointing in the direction Chris had just made his way over to. As they walked Spencer decided it would be best to at least try and converse with someone.
“I’m Spencer. And you are?” He asked holding out his hand.
We reached the campfire area, and Mika set her bag next to one. Stephen put down his as well, then looked around. There were about forty or more people here at this campfire, which means that there are more than forty others who joined this camp. Mika asked Stephen why he came here, and stated that she and Harry had already discussed their reasons. “Me? I’m just here because my friend bugged me to join in, saying it would be fun and yada-yada,” he said in response to her question. “Nothing interesting though, sorry to disappoint.”
Sky noticed a girl standing alone and decided to introduce himself. “Howdy, pardner!” He said in a weird accent. “My name’s Silas, but everybody calls me Sky. What’s your name?” He asked.
״thanks I bought it myself”
I tugged a few strains of hair behind my ear while looking at her. What I could tell at that moment was that she’s quite sarcastic. “I thought so.” I said following with a chuckle.
After I introduced myself she cared to do the same. “Stephanie” I nodded. I knew that the name was of Greek Origin but that doesn’t have to imply anything. “So, where are you exactly from?” I asked.
The other people started to follow Chris McLean over to the so-called camp-area. There he would announce the teams.
“Shall we then?” I asked. Which wasn’t really a question since I already started walking.
I was the last to be introduced and before I could introduce myself to anymobdy, the host went on and told us to follow him to the campfire. I shrugged and blindly followed him with the others. I took my heavy luggage as instructed and struggled to keep in pace with them. As everybody gathered I sat on one of the stumps, a bit exhausted, looking around at other people’s luggage. “Why did I carry so much stuff?” I wondered, but acidentally said it aloud.
I looked at him “What do you mean nothing interesting?” I wondered before I took my eyes off him and towards the campfire towards which I reached out my hands to feel the heat. “We have a campfire, we will probably have challanges and we have company. If that’s nothing interesting to you …” I turned back to him and continued “Well I’d love to have lived your life.” I look at Mika worriedly “Or was everybody’s life much better than mine?”
“Friends made you huh? Well they sound like good friends. This will be an experience you’ll never forget I’m sure.” I smiled to him as I spoke and nodded at the end of my words for impact. “What do you mean nothing interesting?” I looked at Harry as he spoke but back at Stephen for an answer to the question he was just asked. “Or was everybody’s life much better than mine?” “Sorry Harry, not all of us have boring jobs.” I shrugged and smirked at him as I spoke. I pulled my legs up on the stomp so I was sitting criss-cross. I looked at the fire. Watching the flames was sort of tripping me out so I had to look away which cause me to look at all the other campers again. I’m sure people think I am judging them, and I am. But not in a bad way…mostly. @SkyWalker@LunaticLeviTheSecond
"I really don’t want to be on a reality show right now. I just came to relax.”
I chuckled lightly at that and shook my head, picking up my bag and throwing it over my shoulder. “I doubt you’ll have any time to relax,” I stated, looking towards the camp as Chris started to talk. I then raised a brow and started walking towards camp as she mentioned thinking positive. “Yeah, you do that.” I told her. Oh, kill me now. Thinking positive will get you no where because you know it’s probably not true. It can put you under extra pressure because you’ll think other people expect you to be positive all the time—this can actually make you feel more negative emotions, more frequently. Which is why I think about every possible outcome – or simply go with the flow. I don’t have time to think positive. Though, I’d never express my deep opinions like that unless provoked. I was chill. Once we made it to the campfire, I spoke up again. “So, what do you think about all of this?” I asked her, adjusting the grip on my bag that was thrown over my shoulder.
I got confused at Mika’s accusation coming from nowhere. “Where did you get the idea I have a job?” I asked. Never in my life did I have a job, why did she just assume I had one when she met me and carried on with this assumption? “Are you mistaking me for somebody else or what?”
“Wait, teams? You’re a host!” I yelled out. I didn’t know what was going on. I felt like I was in the Twilight Zone. I picked up my luggage, while simultaneously wanting to throw it at Chris, and started walking towards the campfire place that everyone else was walking towards. That’s when a guy came up to me and nearly made me jump out of my skin. “You scared me.” I said. I looked him up and down. He had interesting clothing and makeup on. “My name is Brenda Reed. It’s cool to meet you Silas. Are you going to the campfire?” I asked him.
I thought so.
“Of course you did” I said and ran a hand through my hair So, where are you exactly from?
“New York city baby” I smirked “you?” I asked too Shall we then?
“Well obviously” I said and started walking “we don’t really have a choice don’t we?” I asked without actually expecting an answer @glxwingAngel sorry it’s short
“Yeah… Real good friend, but also annoying. Main reason I joined was to stop him from pestering me,” Stephen said as he smiled softly. “And I sure do hope so, since I don’t want to have to spend a few weeks here for nothing at all.”
“Oh, nothing… Just probably expected more from this camp.” Stephen’s gaze shifted towards the campfire and raised a brow, “Sure, sounds pretty cool.” Shrugging, he said, “Can’t wait. Maybe things will become interesting with the challenges, but who knows? It may just as well be another scam for all we know.” He paused for a short moment, then continued, “Not that I’m complaining about the company, but I’d very much prefer to have my phone with me as well.”
Silas chuckled. “I don’t really have a choice, do I? No technology, no way to communicate with the outside world… We’re kinda stranded here. Might as well play along then, right?” He asked, and shrugged. “So what’ll you do if you win, Brenda?” Sky ased.
I shrugged to Harry’s overreacting. It even caused me to laugh a bit but I don’t think that was really my whole fault. “Just assumed from the way you said you needed a break from your life earlier but sorry.” I put my hands up like I was giving up. “Guess I was wrong.” When were things going to start up. I was getting impatient. “Just probably expected more from this camp.” “I think that’s what a few other people were thinking too.” I could tell when I got off the boat and other people were too at their faces. They would cringe and look disgusted when they came face to face with the island. ”It may just as well be another scam for all we know.” I laughed and nodded in agreement with his statement. ”but I’d very much prefer to have my phone with me as well.” I thought about this and I actually hadn’t missed mine at all. I guess I missed texting my friends and my sister especially but I really liked not having To worry about electronics and social media for sometime. @LunaticLeviTheSecond@SkyWalker
I decided to just ignore what would otherwise become an argument between me and Mika so I just said “Really? I don’t miss my phone.” But then I thought about it. “Maybe you miss it becuase of contacts and stuff, but that problem doesn’t really bother me becuase my phone is usually silent but not by choice. But if you’re thinking of games and internet, I guess we’ll all be missing it a bit, but there’s plenty to do in here.” I looked at the campire watching it change shape like a long flowy dress with both orange and red colors and somebody dancing around in it. It’s beautiful I just whish smoke wasn’t goiing directly towards us and fill my eyes with tears.
I watched as he tried to skip it again. A smile came to my face as I said “Ayyy not bad!” While picking up another rock. He said his name was Ken. “Oh so like the Barbie doll?” I joked while playfully slapping his arm. “I don’t think you’ll have much trouble finding you a blonde girl that can be Barbie for ya here” I joked with a smile and a slight laugh while skipping the rock. 10 skips. I looked to the group of people. There were some blondes.
“I’m Levi” I said looking at his knee before making eye contact for a second before going to find another rock. He was a darker skinned guy, I didn’t mind though. He was just like anyone else. Then the guy said we needed to get off the dock. I pushed off my knees and got up, keeping the rock I had in my hand but putting it into my pocket. I grabbed my luggage and headed to wear everyone else was. I didn’t know if Ken would follow. He could if he wanted. I honestly didn’t care.
There were people arriving one after the other while I was waiting on the dock. I glanced around and everyone seemed as confused as I was. I would say at that moment I was fairly calm in comparison to some other people. It was still kinda messed up if you asked me.
The guy who was there to welcome us all was grinning from ear to ear. Which I found weird considering he’s part of this scheme. I crossed my arms and gave him my full attention.
He introduced himself as Chris McLean. Anyway, I’m about to go to the campfire area where teams will be announced, so follow me and bring all your luggage with you!”
I raised an eyebrow but started to grab my luggage without hesitation.
I fixed my backpack and other stuff. I quickly turned around, which was too quickly because I almost collided with someone.
“Oof- Sorry.” I said.
CHANEL PARKER
My elbow rested on the car door and I stared out at the tall green trees with a hopeful look in my eyes. It was quite beautiful, I could almost smell it through the windows. It had been a long time since I had been to a vast forrest like this one. It made me smile. How long will it be until we get to the resort?
We drove for a little bit longer until I could see a bunch of wooden little houses. I tilted my head, thinking about it. When the thought dawned upon me, I sat back in my seat, leaning my head back, breathing steadily. My mom, Shannon had to have known. We pulled into the parking lot and I already knew what was going to happen from the movies. I shut the door behind me and brought my luggage out, trying not to think too much about the creepy crawlies surrounding the bottom of my small school girl heels. Many many people around my age walked around, many more than I would like. I walked over, a little bit self conscious of what they thought of me. I tried to concentrate on the path in front of me and I smiled guiltily when I saw someone that seemed semi-approachable. “Hey.” I smiled, sneaking up from the side of him, sitting on one of the logs effortlessly, trying not to think about it too much but I couldn’t help but slide my hands down my lap. He had black hair and he was skinny, and I was currently in a more lesbian mood but I could feel that changing when I looked at him. I do not wanna be here, but his energy matched mine in a way and I was hoping not to feel like the only outsider. “What’s your name?” I ask in a sweet voice, then swatting a fly away with slight concern.
It started to saturate, the images of camping out here. Bleh, I thought about it looking down at his hands. @Quinn - Maurice
I crossed my arms as I looked at everyone around me who looked equally as p!ssed as I was. I noticed people starting to talk to one another, but I just wasn’t in the mood to talk to anyone right now so I stayed silent. Once Chris told us to follow him, I picked up my suitcase, which wasn’t too heavy, then started to walk with the crowd, noticing the wood underneath me creaking at every step. I’ve only just arrived and this island is already sh-tty. I rolled my eyes to myself, then quickly stepped out of the way once I noticed a backpack heading toward my head.
“Oof- Sorry.”
I looked over at the person who had almost knocked me over, then noticed myself looking up. The guy was probably a whole foot taller than me and I wasn’t even short. “It’s fine, but watch where you’re going next time unless you want a knee in the-” I looked over as a camera was brought up close to my face. “Oh, f-ck off.” I told the cameraman, rolling my eyes and then continuing to walk.
I rolled my eyes. “I can’t believe that I have to stay in this dumpy place. This should be illegal!” I yelled out.
“So what’ll you do if you win, Brenda?”
I chuckled. “Well, if I’m winning…Let’s say money, then I will try whatever it takes to win. Just don’t be too sad if I beat you.” I said. “What about you? What would you do?” I asked him. He didn’t seem to be the competitive type, but I was just judging from his appearance.
