Jade smiled as they started heading to the car. She was so happy to be back with Enzo. Jade’s phone kept going off and Enzo said she could answer it. She looked at the screen and saw it was the blog. She was shocked his wasn’t going off too. Jade looked at him. “It’s not my friends babe. It is the blog. Apparently that chick Piper is pregnant and doesn’t know who the daddy is.”
She then giggled thankful it wasn’t her who was pregnant. Enzo had opened the door for her then walked around and got in the other side after putting her suitcase in the trunk. He then leaned his head on her and she smiled. “I missed you so much baby. I’m so happy to be back.” She leaned over and kissed his cheek. The car pulled off and she watched Enzo close his eyes and just smiled. There was a big difference in Enzo and Ian.
As Ash was bending down and checking on Jennifer. The guy he punched yelled at him, and then pushed him and he fell into a table. Then the guy talked more and Ash just rolled his eyes and tried to calm himself down. Then he said that he didn’t want Ash’s girl. Ash stood up from the table and was met with a fist to his face. She yelled at him to and then the guy told her she didn’t need to get involved. Ash cracked his neck to each side and straightened himself out.
“What the f^ck is your problem. Why are you coming get involved in something that has nothing to do with you. He was touching my girl.” Ash’s fists were balled at his sides for if the guy wanted a fight. Ash had been in the mood to fight since he hadn’t really been hanging out with Jax. He hadn’t been fighting with anyone. So, when he saw the guy talking to Jennifer… for him it was the perfect reason for a fight.
Kori smiled as Holden said the other half of her scholarship must be for Tennis. This made her giggle. Then he seemed impressed when he said she got the beauty and the brains. This made her blush. She was half way done with her drink when he started talking about giving her a song. Right as she was about to answer him… She heard a voice say hey but she thought she was imaging it. Then she heard a voice say Uh, Hi, but it sounded closer this time.
Then she looked to her side and realized it was Kevin. She smiled at him as he said that he didn’t know she was coming to the party. Then he asked what he missed. She had her hand on his phone the whole time she was talking to Holden. Her drink was in her other hand. She turned back to Holden. Then looked back at Kev. “Hey Kev, I didn’t know I was coming either… If I’m honest.” She said as she squeezed the phone in her hand… like tryign to ground herself.
“Well… Everyone left the Saint Andrew’s party and came over here because someone got shot.” She said as she thought if there was anything else he missed. She looked back at Holden “I would love to hear one of your songs. That’s cool you are a singer.” She hoped this would help Kevin know that she had just met the dude, but guys seemed to be dumb. So, she wasn’t sure if he would understand that or not. Plus… It’s not like her and Kevin were dating.
She held his phone tight in her hand that was in the jacket pocket. Almost as if she felt giving it back to him would mean… never seeing him again. However, that’s not what happened last time. She drank the rest of her drink and was feeling it. She looked at Kevin and smiled as she slowly pulled her hand out her pocket and put it towards Kevin. “I think this belongs to you Kev. Seems to be a pattern. Leaving your phone in the jacket you let me borrow.”
She giggled and then she looked back at Holden. “That drink was good. Want to make me another?” She didn’t feel like she had a flirty tone, but what she didn’t know was when she was drinking she sounded flirty. She stood there looking between the two guys and seeing who would talk first. She glanced back and forth between the two of them as she waited.
Kuri had heard about the parties. She wasn’t sure if she would go or stay in. Part of her wanted to stay in and avoid James and Scottie both. She still couldn’t believe her and Scottie were on a break and it was James’s fault. Kuri didn’t really want the break to happen, but at the same time… She felt space might be good for them. However, the pain in her chest every time she thought about Scottie… Felt worse the the actual break somehow. After a while of debating with herself about going or not going.
She finally decided to get dressed. She had actually recently went shopping for a new dress just for this night. She hated the idea of wasting the dress. It was perfect for Operation get Scottie back She had set it in her mind that tonight would be the night they somehow mend things… That tonight would be the night they make up. Every other time they got into arguments or fights… They made up within two days. This was the longest one. She thought about things as she got dressed and did her hair and makeup. She glanced back in the mirror and smiled at herself. She felt she didn’t really look like herself.
She never usually wears dresses or make up, but if she was going to win Scottie back… She knew it would take this… He seemed to smile at Fake Barbie when she wore makeup. She was proud of herself though, because even with this break and all the other stuff going on in her life right now… She hadn’t relapsed with her c^tting. She needed to take the edge off before going to the party. She knew her roommate kept alcohol in the room. So, she went over and took a couple swigs of it. Then she straightened out her dress and left for the hotel. Kuri arrived at the hotel and found the room. She was about to open the door and step inside when she froze.
The music thumps through the walls as Kuri pauses just outside the doorway, hand tightening around her clutch, and the memory hits her all at once — sharp, unwelcome, impossible to ignore. James’s voice, calm and careful, like he was doing her a favor. I’m not saying he doesn’t care, he’d said, just that Scottie thinks you’re temporary. A phase. Something good he doesn’t plan to keep. And then the proof — a clipped screenshot, a sentence ripped from a moment that hadn’t belonged to James at all. Scottie’s words, stripped of their vulnerability, made to sound casual and cruel. She’d tried to convince herself she was overreacting, that she should talk to Scottie first, but the seed had already taken root.
She remembers confronting Scottie — the way his face had gone pale before hardening, the hurt flashing across his eyes when she told him where she’d heard it. He’d stumbled through his explanation, voice unsteady, trying to explain a thought he’d once whispered in doubt, not declaration. It felt too good to be real, he’d said, like that was somehow worse. Like loving her had scared him more than losing her. She remembers how defensive he’d sounded without meaning to, how every word felt wrong even when it wasn’t, how her chest had ached with the possibility that she was fighting for something he wasn’t sure he deserved to keep.
The break had followed quietly — no slammed doors, no raised voices. Just space, heavy and uneven. She needed it because she didn’t know if she was protecting her heart or pushing away something real. Scottie had agreed because she could see the betrayal sitting in his silence, the way he stepped back instead of begging, like he was afraid that staying would turn into resentment. Neither of them had wanted the distance, but neither had known how to close it without bleeding. She opened the door and stepped inside.
Now, standing on the edge of the party, Kuri exhales slowly and lifts her gaze — and there he is. Scottie, across the room, close enough to see and impossibly far away. The music swells, laughter spills around her, and all she can think is that a week shouldn’t feel like an entire lifetime — and that seeing him again hurts in a way she hadn’t prepared for at all.
In her state of mind she smiled at him. She really hoped he would notice her… and her outfit and come over… or maybe he wouldn’t recognize her. She stood there just in the doorway frozen in time. She wasn’t sure what to do… So she closed her eyes and took a few deep breaths before making her way over to the table of drinks. Some guy with dark hair and ripped jeans offered her a drink. She smiled and accepted it. She slowly picked her hand up bringing the cup to her mouth.
Then she stepped away and was standing by herself. She could see Scottie still, but she knew he couldn’t see her. She held the drink in her hand that the guy gave her. She leaned against the wall and was just watching things when someone came up to her. She really wasn’t in the mood for anyone other than Scottie. Kuri glanced up at the girl in front of her. The girl looked familiar but Kuri wasn’t sure from where… or how… maybe she saw her on socials or something.
Then the girl talked, asking Kuri if she remembered her. Kuri’s brow raised for a moment trying to recall. Then the girl’s words hit her like a ton of bricks. I’m your half sister Kuri stood there in shock. She took a deep breath and gathered herself. She looked at the girl… She didn’t know what to say. “Hi…” She said as she glanced around the girl to try and see Scottie, btu he had moved. Part of her hoped he was on his way to her.
Scottie
Nevaeh was standing and just watching the crowd of people. She had wondered why a fire marshal hadn’t came yet and shut the party down, or how the cops were here and doing nothing about the noise. She was in her own world when someone collided into her. She giggled as the girl looks up at her. “You okay there?” She asked but seemed to have been canceled out by the music. Nevaeh saw something fly from the girl’s hand and land beside her boot. Right as she was about to bend over and pick it up for the girl…
The girl herself crouched down and quickly grabbed it. Nevaeh giggled as the girl looked at her. She found this amusing for some reason. “Well… Throwing your vape at someone is a new way to meet someone.” She said joking and giggling. “Strawberry shortcake is my favorite flavor.” She smiled at the girl. “Not sure if you heard me, but I did ask earlier if you were okay.” She said as she felt she was screaming over the music.
Piper stood there as She waited for Ian to say something… anything… Then that’s when she noticed someone was between her and Ian. She looked up and noticed right away whose back she was looking at. She thought she heard his voice. She smiled softly. She listened to Koda telling Ian that was the worst way to do a breakup.
Then some guy with blue hair came over. Piper looked at Albert almost pleading for them to go back their hotel room. She felt this was too much. She just wanted to run and hide. She just not only confirmed to Ian, but half the school that she was pregnant. It was taking all over her not to run away.
Jax smiled as Rylee said deal. Then Rylee said she got thirsty. He looked around and noticed Ash was in a fight. He sighed.. “Let’s go stop out id^ot friend from fighting then get some water?” He asked as he nodded his head into the direction of Ash who had his fist balled like he was ready to k^ll someone. He hated when Ash was like this.
Nicky couldn’t help but smile when he heard her giggling. He really liked her laugh. “Don’t be jelly baby… You don’t need to feel fine because you are fine.” The meds were surely hitting hard now. Then heard her ask why he was so good looking. “Who??? mE??? I… I am?” He asked as he felt shocked she thought that. He felt she was too good for him.
Liv laughed at Madi’s pouting. She listened to what Madi said. She slowly nodded her head. “I think… I like waiting on one of them to come to me. Plus, I’m having fun with my girl right now… So… they can wait. I mean if either of them wanted to talk to me… They both know where I’m at.” Then that’s when Liv talked louder then she meant to. Madi asked why she had an evil look on her face. She just smiled at Madi. “Wouldn’t you like to know.” She giggled as she drank some more.
Elias stood there thinking about Hazel’s question… He felt maybe the nurse or even the headmaster, but he didn’t want to say that to Hazel in the moment. “Well… I am 18. So, I can legally be her guardian.” He chuckled lightly as they made it to the nurses station. He asked where his siter’s room was. He thanked the nurse and went to the room. He heard Hadley ask someone why they were so good looking.
His eyes went wide. Who the hell was she talking to in there. What was going on. Why was she even here. Eli chuckled at the guys response. He was stuttering and sounded drugged. He stood outside so he could listen to their convo for a little bit.
Wren was dancing and enjoying it. She really did love Luke. Of course she had some doubts in the back of her mind… Mostly about Luke and his feelings for Enzo. She surely didn’t want their relationship to end because of a guy that Luke hardly spent any time with. Her and him were together everyday. They kept swaying to the music. Then Luke whispered in her ear. Then he rubbed her back.
They could hear someone fighting. Wren saw him glance over at it. “Baby, Can we go??? It looks like most of both schools are here… So, we would have one of our rooms to just us I’m sure. Are we could even go to a different hotel and get a room. This really is too much to handle with all the fighting.” She said as he finally glanced back over at her.
