After the kiss she pulled away just enough to put her lips next to his ear. Then she whispered seductively into his ear. “I want you.” Enzo let out a slow breath when she whispered that, his eyes closing for just a second like the words had landed somewhere deeper than desire. He didn’t rush her, never had, but his hands slid to her waist, steady and sure, pulling her closer until there was no space left to misunderstand.
“I’m not going anywhere tonight,” he said quietly. He kissed her again, hungrier this time, like he was memorizing the fact that she was really here, that this wasn’t something he’d wake up from alone.
