Corbin started chuckling again. She laid in bed putting the phone to her ear.
“Ya but even after that she got into a fight with Claire! It’s so embarrassing!”
Flashback
One week ago
Fleur was doing her usual stretches and warm ups before she and the other cheerleaders were to practice their routine. She never liked the idea of cheerleading and would always made fun of girls who did it, but something changed after her friend Alexander convinced her that she should at least try it out as a joke. Now there she was. Wearing this skanky skirt, but she kind of liked it.
That was when one of the popular girls at school, Blaire Westborough, rounded the corner. She had long wavy brown hair, was tall and had a perfect nose, one that Fleur wanted but didn’t want to admit. She always thought Claire’s hair looked a bit dry but no one noticed. They thought she was perfect, which was sort of true, but that thought made Fleur even more annoyed. She accused her of stealing something from her locker and that was when the fight happened.
“This isn’t the first time you’ve tried to steal something. Like Zia’s boyfriend. Huh?” They both pulled each others hair until people had to pull them apart. Fleur was sure that someone must have set her up.
A few days later that same wench decided to post a picture of Fleur’s head on Zia’s head where she was posing with Brooks. The caption read. “This is the psycho man stealer who wants Zia’s life. Shes in love with Brooks and hide your items because she might steal them too!”
Corbin thought for a moment. “I don’t hate Fleur. She’s just annoying, Like one of those popular mean girls, ya know?” Corbin sat up against her pillow and looked out of the window, feeling dazed. Maybe she did hate Fleur more than she should. Besides they never really talked. They just never seemed to get along. “Are you coming with me to cheerleading practice?”
