Two days after current day
Luke took another drag of his cigarette and then put it out on the wall behind him, before putting the cigarette in his pocket. He knew that he wasn’t supposed to smoke indoors but there was no one around. It was winter break and most of the students were gone. The upstairs common room was empty which is where he happened to be. Waiting for his school project partner to show up. He put his hands in his pockets and thought about everything.
He knew that tomorrow he was going to go visit his mom with Magnolia and Corbin and afterwards the four of them would go to a trip to visit the rest of the family in the countryside. That’s why he wanted to talk to his project partner to see how they were gonna get the assignment done over winter break. It just happened to be Vincenzo. Vincenzo Coppola.
Luke had seen him around school a couple of times and he seemed interesting for some reason but he didn’t know why. He honestly just wanted to get the project done and figure out how to do it, especially since the project was about food and languages across cultures and one of the tasks were to write about the history of the italian language. He figured that Vincenzo would be well versed in that since he was italian - at least that’s what he thought. He was Italian right?
After time ticked by and boredom reared its ugly head, he saw Vincenzo walking up the stairs. “Hey.” Luke greeted. After some time he added. “How do you want to go about this project? We could text or… Split up some parts.”
