At Leo’s Party
When Hyun - Jae was at the restaurant with Zira, he enjoyed talking to her but he didn’t know that she slept with Brooks. He thought he had only slept with Zia. When she told him he felt something sink in the bottom of his stomach. He immediately froze and looked away from her eyes. “I have to go to the bathroom.” When he went to the bathroom, he closed the door behind him and went straight to the toilet. He dry heaved but nothing came out fortunately. He was prone to having anxiety but this was the worst he’s ever felt. When he came back out, he apologized to Zira and asked what she wanted to do in their relationship. She didn’t say that she wanted to never see him again and that was better than nothing. When they got in his car he contemplated for a second, tapping his fingers on the steering wheel. Then he finally asked. “Do you want to go back to my dorm?” He knew that he didn’t have to explain much else judging from the look on her face. He didn’t want Brooks to be the last touch she had. When they got to his dorm, he made love to her - properly.
Jae arrived at Leo’s party with Zira by his side. He decided to wear something a bit more fancy since he wanted to impress Zira - but there was a part of him that felt like he looked similar to a pirate.
“Let’s get something to drink. I’m thirsty for some reason.” He laughed and they walked to the table. He saw Elias standing there with Hazel. Jae heard the rumors about Alexander stalking him because of his brother Amias telling him. He wanted to get to know him a bit more because they sort of became friends during the rec - center activities. He was trying to make more friends and stop being so shy. “Hey man, you’re dating Hazel now or what?” He asked with a scratchy laugh. Then he took a sip of apple cider in a champagne glass.
