I’ve never read a book that really made me think a lot… It’s more like all the books I’ve read together made me think about some things…

The Alchemist by Paulo Choelo. One of the best books ever written.

The best books are the ones that pull you in so far you don’t have time to think, you need to read the next page. 
If you are evaluating the book as you read it then it’s obviously not interesting to you

The divergent series or the percy jackson/ hero’s of Olympus series

Hmm, tough question, probably a Dutch book about a girl with cancer I read 3 years ago, it was on my mind for a long time after and it just make me think a lot about what are actually the important things in life.

The Uglies series by Scott Westerfeld, I was probably around 12 when I read it, it really changed the way I thought about beauty standards and what being conventionally attractive means. It also made me think about what future generations hundreds of years from now when we’re all dead, are going to see our society as and what they are going to think of the way we live. It also drastically changed my view of the ideas in John Lennon’s Imagine.
Wonder by R.J. Palacio is really good and it kind of makes you think of the way people act around those who have visual differences. It also shows (by showing things from multiple points of view) that everybody has their own stories as opposed to it just being a two dimensional view on one boys life, it shows how everybody has things going on and they are all connected by him.the
Student Gerber by Friedrich Torberg. It’s a book about a student who’s bad at maths and latin and both classes he has the same teacher who likes to make him look like a fool. It shows his way through four years of school until graduation, but shortly before he gets the results of his finals, the pressure gets too much for him.
I didn’t like it when I first read it but when it was shortly before my finals one of my teachers brought up that book again. The first time I read it, I didn’t really understand why the student acted like he did, but the second time I realized that his actions are comprehensible and although I wasn’t in the same situation, I got scared for one of my classmates and now that book is stuck in my head. Whenever someone has a big test coming up or problems with a teacher, I’m reminded of that book and it really makes me think about our school system.

When first read The Giver, I thought a ton about the book! It’s about a dystopian world design, which made me really think about how society is designed.
