Well there are a lot of bad things Episode has done, but I will list a few of them -

Banning so many awesome people from Episode Forums (yes they were critical of Episode but in a right way! Episode is a company that can’t take criticism well).

Lazy-directing of featured stories. In such stories, we expect to see characters of varied diversity, unique dialogues, consequential choices etc (I mean the readers are spending their gems for something, right??). But all we get are the same old recycled MCs with no personality whatsoever, choices that don’t make much sense (or consequence) and no story depth. Give those gem-worthy clothes and actions to the users who make stories for free and actually work meticulously hard to make underrated stories and we will get some really awesome stories to look forward to

Episode breaks its own guidelines. There was a story where the characters were glorifying alcohol-abuse. A user reported it but Episode dismissed it saying it was not much of a problem but the truth was the author was already famous and influential enough and they didn’t wanna damage all that (also, why an app intended for 13 year olds depict so much cringy sexual stuff?)

It’s always the same BFF. And it’s like black girls HAVE to be badass, no-sh*t taking people in these stories. Very rarely do I see shy, calm and introverted black girls.
He is also very obnoxious and “man-hungry” person who dreams, talks and thinks about cute guys every time. I mean can’t they give such characters more personality rather than just making them Kevin from Riverdale?

I have a shy, calm black girl BFF in my story that loves math and is an honor student.
But as for the worst decisions that Episode has ever made:
- Banning people just for being opinionated, and even worse, banning people from the PLATFORM
- Releasing stories like It Starts with a Bra, In My Bed (though later they changed it to My First Everything), and My Teacher/My Gang Leader
