Maybe I’m remembering it wrong, but they did have that huge fight on the Eiffel Tower where Ladybug almost fell off. He also sends super villains to kill them literally every episode. Maybe it’s just to get their miraculous’, though a lot of the villains try to seriously injure the characters.
