What is your favorite song about?

The chorus ‘You’re a sunflower, I think your love would be too much’ resonates a lot with me, as being about a girl that’s very loyal and loves with all her heart. In this case, it seems that the guy is not ready for that kind of love.
Sunflowers = longevity, loyalty, strength

It also seems that he has to leave this ‘sunflower’ behind for some reason, but she does not want to give up on their relationship.

Tom most likely wrote this song for his wife Jennifer as they were a couple for a long time when they were teens and they grew up to have two kids. I liked that a lot because I’m a hopeless romantic. This song tells the story of young love and all the bright possibilities they can have, staying strong and sticking together through hardship.

I just love this line so much…
