I’m still an INFJ.
Dude… it’s highly likely all of you are mistypes… 16personalities suck ass at giving you the correct type. Most websites are useless of getting your actual one because you barely know yourself enough, the way they create their questions are very vague and don’t actually correctly use them to depict your cognitive function stack correctly. All yall need to take a cognitive function test, answer completely honestly to get your POTENTIALLY correct type. Hell, pay for an actual test so you get more accurate results. 16personalities is unreliable. It goes by the four letters and that doesn’t actually even have relevance to MBTI theory. It’s the cognitive functions which you’d have to study carefully as well as yourself and how you ACTUALLY are. As a person who has actually studied… I can tell you guys… it’s way more different than you think. It’s not like zodiac.
Look 16 personalities may be great for giving you simple personality descriptions, but it’s NOT MBTI or reliable to use as a source for your claim to be a personality type of any of the 4 letter combinations. It’s really the cognitive functions.
That reason being because during that time, you were using different cognitive functions. You are most likely not INTJ if you “got something way different”. At the time you take the tests, you must be your authentic self. Not when you’re less of how you usually are. You also must be true and completely honest. Questions on 16personalities just ask whether you’re either letter. Ex: T or F (Thinking or Feeling) while everyone actually has both. A personality is just a four set of what their cognitive function entails and what they use most of four out of the 8. You must take a cognitive function test to get your real type. @LHT While you might relate to INTJ personality description, so does everyone else because everyone has the quirks of many other types. Like I said, it all goes down based on what your functions are. Which truly fluctuate with everyone and change and improve within their years or experiences.
ENTP probably because you want to be like ENTP, does not mean you are ENTP.
I answered honestly , but I think I just changed as a person and that’s why my result has been changed a bit. I did kind of exegerate when I said “way different”, but it was still different nonetheless.
You should try using the sakinorva test because that is what I heard is the most accurate test when it comes to testing 16 personalities/cognitive functions. But I would recommend you research more about the cognitive functions so you can figure out what cognitive functions you have because you know yourself more than the mbti exams. So try researching the cognitive functions because that’s what mbti really is.
Bruh, why do you guys assume I know nothing about cognitive functions, I just wanted to do the test because it seemed fun. Not because I seriously didn’t know what type of person I am and what the way is I opperated in the world
I just treated it like one of those “What kind of toast are you ?” quizzes on Buzzfeed. Nothing too serious
Oh sorry that I sounded like I was forcing you or anything like that, I just think this is an interesting topic to learn about, so I just wanted to give you some recommendations on how to get what you think is your accurate mbti type since you stated that your results were different or something like that.
Yeah, no worries. I can see your intentions were good so I’m not mad about it or anything.
Sure it’s not the most detailed or accurate test that could be done, but it’s accessible to everyone and with the information that it does give, it could influence people to look deeper into it. Bold of you to think that the majority of people don’t know themselves enough to take a simple personality test, but i also understand where you’re coming from along with other people so it’s most likely not taken personally. Stuff like this is fun and it’s something most people can do without difficulty. MBTI tests aren’t as accessible or easy to complete as this one and people find enjoyment in them. Please don’t take the fun out of these lol. - Thread owner @AlissaGrace
It’s not me trying to be bold, it’s simple fact. No one can truly know themselves, they create a view of what they can.
And by your logic, “it could influence people to look deeper into it” that’s just another point I could make that can clearly indicate one does not know oneself before getting a good starting point and way to observe. It’s really often people mistype and I go by this statement because of my own personal knowledge of MBTI theory and people who actually are mastered in it. It’s only theory yes, and it’s NOT accurate for every little thing, humans are fluid. And it’s clear that the way someone answers questions, the way they take it firstly will absolutely affect their result in personality because of the system and the way the type is actually indicated. We either answer questions by who we want to be, by what we can see of ourselves. We manage the test the way we want it to be, but those questions might be taken differently in personality, resulting in a different type that you aren’t the most related or would be considered to be. I’m not taking fun out of it and if I am, sorry. But knowing the types and theory and the entire study of it sometimes being taken as something smaller than what it actually is might be aggravating to some. The four letters aren’t actually what the type is, ya know? An ENTP has extroverted (the E) in their combination. With that, most people here I have a good feeling they would take it as they are soley extraverted, right? No, ENTP’s need their alone time as much or even more than a perceived introvert. It correlates with cognitive functions that within the four letters there are a double.
It can be a fun thing, you don’t have to take it seriously. But when something is clearly wrong, or it has an inconsistency, I will point it out, especially if I’m well educated on the topic. I’m sorry if you think it somehow ruined any fun, but honestly, I can’t really change that. I’m simply saying facts, no intent of making people annoyed or mad. If anything this is just a reminder or matter of fact that shouldn’t be taken negatively, you’re learning something new.
If this 16personality website was something different from what I’m referring to and so happen to have the same letters that MBTI theory has when it comes to typing people then shoot! I wouldn’t have said anything. But it goes based off MBTI. All I’ll say is type tests like 16 personalities are unreliable in the perception of systematic questionnaire and self-image.
And honestly any free type test-
Of course there are flaws, 16personalities is by no means perfect, or good, but it’s entertaining. The points you bring up are completely valid but i just don’t think they were needed here. People come here just to share their results and to talk about what personality they got. What you wrote it more suited to be in an email to 16personalities. The test can definitely be manipulated by someone’s false self image and that’s of course a big flaw, but it’s not something that the fourmers are really interested in reading. They just want to have fun and chill when they’re in this thread.
Though I am really interested in your knowledge about MBTI! You should totally make a thread about it, I’m into psychology and am currently taking a course on it, so I’d love to read about MBTI.
At this point all I ask of is no more harry potter books lol
But I guess that could be a good excuse for doing this anyways, as you’re potentially a mistype thinking you’re another and it’s not by any means your fault and if that’s all you know, what else can do about it if you’re not taught correctly? Lol.
So I now understand where you’re coming from and talking about fun.
Look I get what you’re saying, but I’m not looking for validation from other users. My input was valid and that’s as far as it should go lol. Whether others liked it or not. The way you all took it was out of my control. Plus, what is it life and learning without conflicting opinion? There would be no room for change or new ideas.
Interesting! Have fun with it, I’m interested in well.
Maybe.
That’s true but MBTI is such a big topic that it really does deserve it’s own thread
I don’t think anyone would even care enough to discuss it if I post it-
