Does your school do them? They’re also known as code reds. It’s basically where you shelter in place. Just asking everyone after the utter crap I’ve been through this month. Eight injured, three dead. I’m just done. @Discussions

My university didn’t really do anything of the sort but when I was in elementary and high school we would a lockdown drill every few months and then like once or twice a school year we’d do a hold and secure
There were two kinds of lockdown drills we’d do - internal and external. Internal lockdown meant there was a threat inside the school and external meant it was outside. It might have been that we only locked the classroom door if it was an internal lockdown and only closed the blinds if it was external but it’s been a while so I don’t remember
Hold and secures were less serious. They were for the event that something was happening in the area around the school that made it unsafe to leave so they’d lock all the external doors and we’d just go about our day as usual
We did similar.
