Friendly reminder to everyone who’s reserved a character or expressed interest in making one! I’d love to see your characters and I’m more active on weekends, so I’ll be better able to help with character creation today and tomorrow than after that. There’s still several days before I’m planning on starting this, which will probably be Friday, so you’ve got plenty of time to get them in. I’d prefer for everything to be turned in by Thursday, since making a character sheet and double-checking everything (trust me, it’s complicated and a lot can go wrong, it’s not just you) from the sign-ups takes a while.

@Skyler2 - For balance, I think we’re low on males, either a rogue or a combat-focused class would be great. In terms of races, I’d prefer if you weren’t a tiefling or dragonborn (since they’re supposed to be uncommon and we already have some of those reserved) but other character types should be fine. You can check the reserves for more specific information, if you want.

in the extra ability, do I list an ability my character’s race has?

You can just ignore it for now, and I’ll message you if it was important or you missed something I wanted. (For the extra ability in the race section, that’s for if you want to play a drow or something like that that’s technically not part of the released rule set.)

Sorry about that! D&D has a whole bunch of complicated character creation stuff, which I hate having at the beginning because it makes it really hard for first time players. I’ll take a look over it, but I’m sure that any issues will only be minor ones.

It’s fine! I looked at the dnd website and it has whole essays I just picked what sounded cool.

So I for sure know I’m making a boy. But I might make another girl because this seems like so much fun. Sorry I’ve been taking so long to get my character in. I’ve been spending hours on him. But nothing is definite. Either way, I can’t wait.

I can give advice on creating your character, help choose abilities and stats, or just create a character for you if you give me information on what class you want to play or what kinds of things you want to do in the party (you still have to provide the backstory).
