So I won’t say the whole plot but in my story, the MC gets an internship for marine biology and she is going to Hawaii to be a lifeguard. But any advice on how to start it??

So a lot of stories centre around the Hero’s Journey, and the first step is always to establish your character’s ‘ordinary world’. Show us what your character’s life has been like up until this point. It could be just a day in their life before they get the internship, or it could be the process of how she got the internship. But either way the ‘ordinary world’ in this case would be your character’s life and job/school before the internship and move to Hawaii, and the threshold would be finding out that she’s gonna do it.
Hopefully that helped somewhat, that’s how most stories are structured anyways.
You could always start in medias res and flash back

Also perhaps include:
why she got the internship?
Why did she want it?
Has she been keen on biology for a long time?
Do her parents support her moving?
