I really wonder what it must be like to have a teacher like @CoffeeAunt… Ok, I had a female teacher for English and Religion in 5th grade we called the “pink glitter stary” as she was the very definition of a girly girl, but still. No offence, though.

I had some issues a few years ago because I was too friendly with my students, and then when they started misbehaving, I didn’t know what to do to about it because they didn’t consider me an authority figure.
I cannot change my personality, so I’m still kind and friendly but now I know what rules to set on the first day of school to avoid those problems as much as possible. However, I do not want to be the mean teacher that everyone fears. I prefer to be myself and earn the kids’ respect by being respectful and empathetic without giving them too much freedom to do things that will distract them from learning and working.

Fall is my favorite season. The leaves turn a beautiful shade of orange, Starbucks gives a sale on Pumpkin Spiced Latte, there’s Halloween so I can scare random people on streets to death (kidding lol) and most of all, the stupid bugs go for hibernation underground FINALLY!

I LOVE fall. I’m going to Starbucks tomorrow for some pumpkin spice. Who cares if those are ‘basic girl’ traits? I like it because of how it tastes, not because it’s a trend.

Good morning! Umm, so do you all remember people from their faces or their names? I remember using names I barely know what they look like lol.

I’m pretty good at names, but also at recognizing faces. Unless it’s someone I don’t know too well and I see them in an unexpected place, like the mall or the grocery store. If they tell me their names, I’ll be more likely to remember them.

Definitely. Because there are a lot of words that have completely different meanings depending on the context, phrasal verbs, colloquial expressions, and idioms that are very different from the other language you are trying to translate. So, I personally only use it if I want to know one word. Not a complete phrase or sentence.
