I can understand that… I hate crowds, and I don’t mind online classes too much… I still get to interact with my students and hear them talk, and grading is much more organized and kids have more time to finish their assignments and turn them in.

But I’m definitely not a fan of complete lockdown. Too much isolation and not interacting with anyone made me feel very depressed the first few months of lockdown. Now we have partial lockdown, which I personally like better.
The other problem with complete lockdown is that I’m noticing that it’s a lot more stressful for younger kids than having a routine (school, extracurricular activities, sports, etc). Without all those activities, many kids have started getting bored and therefore becoming more anxious because they feel locked in. Many of them are spending more and more time playing video games, which is fine if they only play for maybe 1-2 hours or so… but many of them are playing ALL DAY.
Of course, parents are the ones that should limit how much their kids play. But many parents work and aren’t able to spend as much time with their kids as they should.

I know that many of you here are teenagers and might disagree with me because most teenagers hate school, and I totally understand it because I didn’t like school that much when I was a teenager. However, this is a pattern I’ve been seeing lately with my nephews, the kids in my neighborhood, and things I’ve heard from coworkers that have children.
