I also had my doubts about wether or not I should be on the forums, both when joining the EF and here, but I had an open convo about it and listened to what people told me. Also talked to the scary Shannii about my worries and biases, now she is my forum mother-in-law and did not kick me out. So if a 40 year old white male with mental issues and chronic diseases who always was different and awkward is accepted here, what do you have to worry about? My advice is to speak with people about the things that burden you, their reaction might surprise you, but staying anonymous might not be helpful in these cases. 
Oh, and @Mouschi, if I was younger, not yet forum married and did things like flirting or dating I would totally try to get to know you better, this might not exactly be a compliment, but there are all sorts of people out there who might like your traits. Let us have a
