Anonymous writing advice

Just like @BrutallyBritish said, this is accurate information to have when making a Muslim character. I also have a link to a post for Arabic/Islamic slang if anyone would like to check it out.

You’re right with these. My parents are African so their traditions are a bit different, although they’re the same.

How do I describe 4c hair in my writing?
This is a good question which is where synonyms come into play. I found a favorite website that actually goes over how to describe POC hair, skin, and so on that I think will help you out! It’s easy to get stumped on how to describe something like hair when it comes to writing since you can visualize it yourself but putting it on paper is a different matter altogether. I hope the links below help you out! I’m also going to post that thesaurus website I found as well. Best to bookmark the websites listed for future use.

How do I describe a character with vitiligo?
Another good question, you’ll need to do some research on this part, but I can at least set you on the right track. I’m also going to post a health website page on what to not say to a person with vitiligo which can help you write this story. Again, the thesaurus website will be helpful. You can click on it in the question above. It’s the first link. You definitely want to do medical research when writing about a medical condition because it will bring realism to the story to the surface.

How do I write a cold character?
So, I hope this was the angle you were going with. If you want to make a cold-hearted character then you should focus on a reason why they shut off their emotions. You can write two types of characters this way. The Character hurt from a past transgression or the character who has no emotional attachment to anyone. Though I would recommend researching Sociopaths since they would be the more dominant character. Though if you want to write an emotionalous killer who has a horrible temper that causes them to lash out then look up research on psychopaths. I will post some links below threads to check out. I hope this helps you out.

How do I write a good love interest the readers are bound to fall in love with?
I’m actually going to link in a post I answered with a similar topic. Basically, you need to know the best way to write a trope. You can get out of a trope but you can portray the trope well instead. Check out the links below. Most of the time you want the love interest to be someone that is open-minded but don’t forget to add faults. People relate to characters if they have been in a similar situation. Let me know if you need any more help.

I keep writing the same first episode for my story over and over again because I just dont seem to be getting it right at all. I keep messing up what I want to portray with the characters and then get a whole new idea about how I actually want to do the episode... but then it never actually sticks and I find that it is flawed later. I tried doing stuff like planning it out beforehand but that just leads me to procrastinate a lot... Help? This is for Episode btw.
So, the reason you are having a hard time figuring out how you want the episode to go is because you are your biggest critic. I had this problem when I was writing my Daughter of the Blue Dragon story but I finally realized that I was overthinking about what I had wrote. I’ll post some links below but what helped me the most was that I went through all my ideas an only kept the ones I liked. Your story is going to have flaws in it but you can work on those flaws with the more you write. It’s perfectly normal process to go through. I’m going to suggest that you put all the ideas you have for the story on flash cards then put them on the table to look at what you have. From there, flip the cards over then start picking from them. You can do this multiple times until you find a narrative that you like. Don’t second guess yourself because that is your inner critic coming back out. It’s the same when you have writers block as well. I hope this helps you out. Let me know if you have any more questions.

I want to write a story, but this story involves something kinda personal to my family. I dont want to change my plans for it, but I dont know if I should write it. It involves making a ghost out of a dead relative
So, I’m truly sorry for not answering this right away. It’s been a hectic time for me outside of the forums. I would say go for it. You can make the story a tribute to your dead relative as a way for you to physically remember them in the form of a story. All I can really say is, I would run it by your family first to see if they would be okay with you making this story. The only reason I think you should ask permission is that this isn’t an easy topic to go over. You’re family and you are the ones you have a say in whether you should go through with this story. It’s a sweet idea to make a story about your relative. I’m sorry for your loss!

How do I write a soft and feminine character?
Writing a feminine character with a soft personality then you will want to work on certain aspects of the personality of the character. For instance, a soft and feminine character will have a warm personality, possibly shy, and you can add any other attributes that enhance those traits. You can emphasize the feminity of the character through how they physically look, how they act, and how others treat them. I would suggest reading some harlequin novels since they cover these types of characters very well. Even normal romance novels do so but you would have to search for the type of character you would need to get a better understanding of how to write the character. I’ll list some links below that could help you as well.
