This is something I’m constantly struggling with because I never know if I should buy more expensive art supplies or not. I usually go with something that’s not that cheap and extremely expensive, but I know for sure that more expensive brushes are worth it!
I want to hear what you guys think! Are more expensive art supplies worth it?
Well i just started doing traditional art again! 
i just use what items i like, if they are more expensive and i like them, i’ll save up doing commissions 
Depends.
For example: Colour pencils (Faber Castel/ Prismacolour)
They are much smoother and easily to blend, and rich in pigment.
However, I don’t think anyone should sweat because they don’t have expensive supplies.
Depends on the material.
When it comes to certain software for example it usually is worth it because it often offers services that you don’t have/ can’t do in other programs.
But with things like paint ,pastels or pencils it usually don’t matter that much. It’s just that the more expenisve art supplies tend to have more pigment.So depending on how much you care about that , it may or may not be worth it.
Sometimes things are just more expenisve because it looks better while other times products might be more expensive because it works better.
I’d say it really depends on the material, but you also don’t need expensive art supplies to make good art, too
