This is Doughboy, based off of an American fried dish of dough with powdered sugar. I dressed her in a 1940’s military pinup uniform because soldiers in WWII were often nicknamed “doughboys”, because the first form of donuts were some of the easiest foods to make and get to them. I gave her golden-brown skin, and what may look like snow around her is actually powdered sugar.

This is Sugar Paste! It’s sort of like a softer, sweeter, more clay-like version of fondant. It’s often used to make decorations on pastries and cakes. Back in the day, it was first invented to decorate christmas cookies.
I went with a pastel color scheme on her to make her feel more sugary and sweet. Her cowel is decorated with jingle bells to reference the christmas cookie origins. Her outfit is also decorated with sugar paste roses, which is what is attracting all of the butterflies. I’m really proud of the lighting on her, but you can definately tell that the roses are pngs, lol. Either way, I think she may be my favorite so far!
