Disney are working a movie based off the Artemis Fowl series of books. I loved these books when I was younger and I still love them now, just not as obsessed. I really hope disney don’t ruin it.

The series is familiar but I never read it. What is it about?
It starts off and there is somewhat of a child genius, he’s lowkey evil at first (Artemis Fowl) he gets older as the book series progresses. Basically he discovers that things like fairies are real.

A game would be a great way to go, or an anime. The weird kidnapping plot of the first book was obviously gonna be completely removed from a film Higher-ups think that your main protagonist needs to always be morally in the right or at least morally grey but coming from a good place. They can’t handle protagonists who are unequivocally morally in the wrong. Like some 11-yo chud who just wants to be more rich than he still is for the sake of pride.
God the Artemis Fowl books are great

I love Artemis Fowl and I don’t like that they are trying to make Artemis out to be a nice person in the first film it takes a couple of books before he even starts to show a good side to him he isn’t even my favourite character, I like Holly and Foaly.

Making Artemis likeable at first and having like a twist at the end where he turns out to be villainous would be like a Death Note adaptation where Light Yagami is somehow not responsible for his actions during the story and the blame can be laid elsewhere until he comes out in the end as the mastermind all alo-- Oh. Oh no. That happened too
