So, I know plastic is our main problem. What do you think if plastic was to be banned?

Plastic is in so much stuff it’s kinda hard to just ban it
I think plastic items such as single use plastic bottles and plastic bags should be reduced. I’ve seen some companies make degradable bags so they disolve in water. Also plastic bottles are actually recyclable, people seem to just throw them in general waste or just throw it on the floor then it becomes a problem. I think recycling should be mandatory.

Indeed they do, I’ve been taught to recycle since I was young and I always ask my parents if something can be recycled before I throw it away.
I don’t know how to raise awareness to people that they should stop littering, there’s already stuff on TV/social media/protests yet people still seem to think it’s okay to litter.

I don’t think you can completely ban is but I do believe that companies can search for a way to use less plastic.
I know a supermarket in my city that I absolutely hate because for some dumb reason they put their fruit in bags of plastic (the fruit isn’t cut or something) like their bananas, paprika’s and more stuff. And I don’t see the use of it if the people usually wash these kind of fruits anyways. Or the fact that some other food just has a lot of unnecessary plastic in my opinion and it always bothers me so much

In the bakery sections of supermarkets they give plastic bags for you to put your pastry in but then it just gets discarded, surely it would be better to provide paper bags. Made out of recycled paper.

Also something that bothers me. This always happens after a party. Next year’s when I live on my own I plan on trying to at least do something about that. Like when I know that their has been a party nearby (and I know that nobody will clean this!) Then I will clean it up myself I’m just so done with it littering all around

Paper straws need more work doing, I don’t even use straws if I’m in a cafe or something but with drinks from McDonalds or any other fast food chain they always overfill it so if I were to drink from the side it would just go all over me.

I mean I’m against the use of straws so I would say just drink the drink like you would drink a cup of water but I also believe that they just need a little improvement

I like the concept of paper straws but maybe they could sell reusable straws, the ones you wash after using.

O? I like plastic straws lol and I reuse them but it shouldn’t be over used and with McDonald’s drinks, you can’t drink it from the cup or it will spill which is why you need a straw…

Plus there’s the ice, they put so much ice in those things it’s hard to actually get the liquid by drinking from the side

McDonald’s can lower the use of ice as well I really don’t need that much

They put so much in because if you were to order a large they can give you less drink for a higher price
