Belated Mickey Mouse Day!

So, this past Wednesday was Mickey Mouse Day! Ninety-two years ago Mickey Mouse appeared on tv the short film Steamboat Willy. Did you know that Mickey Mouse wasn’t Walt’s first creation? Have you ever heard of Oswald the Rabbit? Well, that was originally Walt’s character that he made for Charle’s Mintz, a film producer for Universal Studios. Universal wanted Walt to sign a contract where he would only get 20 percent of the royalties even though he made the character. Since the character was owned by Universal Walt had no choice but to let them take Oswald from him. This would start a long and arduous rivalry between the two companies. Walt moved on from Oswald and Universal Studios where he eventually created Micky Mouse. I never knew there was a Mickey Mouse Day until this week when I signed up for tasks. I love Disney which I try to go to the parks in Florida when I can.

Have a great belated Mickey Mouse Day! Here are some articles about Mickey Mouse and Walt Disney!

It’s a app in the app store where you can use emojis that are disney characters. I have to copy and paste them here since I can’t text them onto the forums.
