Beverly Cleary, beloved children’s author has died at age 104. She was born in 1916, and has written over thirty children’s books. I remember reading her books with my grandma, sitting in a cardboard clubhouse we had made. She has written books such as the Ramona Quimby series, Dear Mr. Henshaw, and Socks. @Bookworms, have you ever read her books?
ONE HUNDRED AND FOUR?!
that is so sad
Uh huh. I was shocked.
WOAH! That’s a good life!
I know! I had no idea she was that old! I thought she was my grandma’s age! My grandma is 72.
I read the Ramona series when I was a kid. Sad that she has died but what an age to get to!
I loved the books.

I loved the Ramona books! I used to own a copy of Ramona Quimby, age 8. I also liked the book about a girl who took ballet classes… Ellen something?
Ellen Tibbits, I think.
Has anyone else read her books? Oh, Eric Carle died too.
Wow, that’s so sad! May she rest in peace.
I know, right? She led a long life, though.
She sure did.
