“You got yourself a deal Mr. Broadway star.” Faust smile at this knowing he will win. “Of course, there’d be more to this deal. I’ll just take my tea, go home and have my lawyer draft up a contract. I think this should go purely on talent and don’t want any funny business, so I’ll send you the draft and you or your lawyer either approve it or suggest changes.” Faust didn’t want him to win on some stupid technicality, he seemed to smug to trust. Maybe he was just self-centered and though he was the s*it, or maybe he had something in plan, some way of cheating his way through this, and Faust didn’t want to admit defeat to a cheater. Feeling like this guy is the type to cheat, he decided to include a written contract. “Anyways I’ve got to go. My project awaits me and I need to rush to get there.” This wasn’t true, he just didn’t want to spend more time in this unpleasant man’s company. “I’ll find your contact either online or through Isabella Lopez.” He paid for his drink and left.
Later on he was working at the studio, singing for the movie he and Natalie were working on. She wasn’t supposed to come in today, it was just him and some minor voice actors. He was less confident without his friend there, but at least he wasn’t voice acting today, but singing. Something he’s always comfortable with. Although everybody has already left, he stayed behind at the studio, making sure he gets his lines right. Practicing for his next work day, making sure that he, with little experience in voice acting, could do the best on his first try. He didn’t want to lose his footing when he got the job, he is a Broadway actor and he knows the best way to do a good isn’t just talent but also a lot of practice. He then got a text.
Looking at his phone he didn’t even realize it was almost midnight. The text was from Savannah.
Hey Faust, hope your doing well. Is it true that you sent me a check so I could buy the car that I wanted when I was 15?
He smiled remembering the cheque he gave her and how happy she was with the present. She even sent him a card thanking him for the money. He actually wanted to buy her the car, but knew she might want to use the money on something else, and he gave her to freedom of choice to buy whatever she wanted with her money. Then he thought about what she wrote in the text.
Hey, Sav? What do you mean ‘is it true’ I gave you the money. You sent me a thank you card for the money. Don’t you remeber that?
OMG Did you parents steal your money again? Please tell me you just wrote me this to get reminded what you got for your birthday, not that you actually never recieved the cheque.
@Kate - Sav
@Ouijaloveletters - Natalie could come in if you want, if you think it’s too late to have them interact, feel free to ignore this.
