Lucy stood there listening to Steven speak. She was pretty good at reading Steven even when he didn’t show his emotions. She knew he didn’t believe a word of what she said. However, she didn’t care. She knew Steven was full of $h!t when he talked about Cindy. He didn’t trust her either because of the things she has done. She just stood there with a smile on her face as Steven talked. She couldn’t stand when he acted like this. He could do whatever he wanted but if he only knew all the things Lucy has done. Maybe they would be divorced already. Steven was just about to say something else to Blake but he was cut off. It was known of his business what was really about to happen between Blake and her. She knew Steven was being condescending.
However, she didn’t even have time to respond to him because a game was announced. She headed over to the table with everyone her drink in hand. She didn’t know what to expect with this game. She stood next to Steven as people started taking their turns in Diss or Thank. She just stood there smiling and listening to everyone. She wondered when it would be her turn. However, she ended up being one of the last three so they had to be together. She looked at both Steven and Danny as she smiled. Then she looked at the group.
She listened to Danny go first and thank her. This made her feel appreciated. Then Steven decided to go. Once again she listened to his arrogant @$$ talk. Sometimes the way he talked really got to her. When Steven finished his speech she knew he was trying to say he sees all pretty much. However, she knew that wasn’t true. He didn’t know have the things she had done. She looks around at the faces and smiles. She then sees him… The man she hasn’t spoken to or seen in twelve years. She did a double take. “Levi Sutton” She whispered. What the hell is he doing here. She thought as she knew she needed to speak to him later.
Steven was finally finished talking. Thank God She thought as she stood there. She now had to speak. She took a swig of her drink. She surely needed the liquid courage before this. She took a deep breath. “Well since I have the pleasure of sharing this with two wonderful people. One being my husband and the other being my good friend. I couldn’t be happier to be the one ending this.” She said and smiled at the group. Some people had walked away already. Two girls got into a fight and threw drinks on each other. So she felt she had to end this on a happy note, or we’ll try to anyways.
She took another sip of her drink. “Well first off I would like to thank my good friend and collaborator Danny Gray. Firstly, thank you Danny for being such a good friend all these years. Secondly, Thank you for creating the best duet I’ve done so far. Lastly, Thank you Danny for always being there for me.” She smiled at him. She thought the things he said were sweet. It didn’t really get into how close they were. A lot of people didn’t know what she did. She knew Steven thought Danny liked her but there was no way that was true and she knew that. So she thought the way Steven talked to Danny was kind of funny because she knew that Steven was trying to tell him to check his feelings.
She then turned and focused all her attention on Steven. She downed the rest of her drink before starting. “Steven, oh Steven… Where to start??? She said and paused for dramatic effect. “Well firstly I would like to thank you for finding me all those years ago in Georgia and moving me out to LA to become what I am today. Secondly, I would like to thank you for our wonderful and loving kids. She smiled at him and blew him a kiss. Was that all she could really say? Or was there more for her to say. She thought for a moment then started to speak again. “However, I will also have to diss you some…because I think you are having an affair. I also know you are a condescending @$$ who I think only married me because I got pregnant with our oldest daughter Cindy. She is so much like you it’s not funny. However, Thank you for all the wonderful memories and moments of the fourteen years we have been together.” She smiled at him and walked away.
