After the events of Thanksgiving, Emiliano was certainly not in a peaceful mood. He had returned to his home with Winsley, but their paths had scarcely crossed. Always out prepping for his role, he would admit to himself that he was avoiding his wife. The questions loomed, and he wasn’t ready to face them. It was a good excuse—a perfect excuse—that he had an important role coming up—his comeback role by an esteemed director. Such an excuse meant that no one really questioned why the golden couple weren’t seen together after the reunion.

Instead, the media brimmed with positivity, fueled by their managers who had arranged for a paparazzo to capture an “off-guard” photo of Winsley and Emilio, seemingly on a date. The image had trended for the month, sparking a flurry of articles speculating about the state of the ‘golden couple.’

And to be honest, right now, Emilio did not know where they stood.

Moreover, to cut short the talk about the golden couple, Emiliano had asked his manager to distribute his new number to all his family and friends, as he had lost his original phone along with all their numbers in the… in the place, and he needed to reconnect. He had gotten his siblings’ numbers from their mother after visiting her last week, knowing they would have questions—questions he wasn’t ready to answer—but it was better to get it over with and spend time with the people he had missed all this while. Talking about those people, Sunny had phoned him, asking him to come to her house, with no explanation.

The tension gnawed at him as he drove to Sunny’s place. The past weeks had been a whirlwind of rehearsals, photo ops, and nights that were well… restless. He wondered what exactly his sister needed him for. They had not ended on a good note on Thanksgiving, as after all, after the party had ended, Emilio had headed straight home, avoiding them throughout the party as he needed time to clear his mind off after the big reveal. He did not want them to ask him what he meant by that or what he did-he couldn’t admit yet, not even to himself. Admitting it out loud, would only make it more real, and that scared the shxt out of him. He especially did not want Dejay to know what had happened, even though Dejay was the only one would could possibly understand his feelings at this time.

As he pulled up to Sunny’s house, he took a deep breath, steeling himself for whatever awaited inside. The door creaked open, and someone let him inside, giving him strange looks that made Emilio look away. As he stepped inside, he saw sunny, and walked up to her. “Been a while,” He teased, knowing that the person who let him in was still close to them, though they were walking away.“Feels like I’m saying this often,” He is, he knows he is. “So…” His voice trailed as they were now alone, “How can I be of help?”
