After knocking on the door, Isla started daydreaming a bit until the sound of Silas’s footsteps coming to the door snapped her out of it. The door opened and Silas stood there with a slight grin on her face, the same one that she had when she was either getting up to some mischief or genuinely happy about something. Judging from what she said next, it was most definitely the latter. “Was beginning to worry that you were going ghost on me,”
Isla shook her head and frowned playfully. “Of course not, you know this is my second home.” Isla chuckled as Silas invited her in with a nod. She always thought that Silas had one of the best homes in Beverly Shores so she was happy to be able to visit again especially since it was much bigger than hers. After all, she always joked to Silas that if she somehow ended up homeless she would move in and pretend that she owned the house. Isla plopped down on the living room couch or rather one of the living room couches. Even though Silas’s mansion was huge it just always felt like a crib to hang out in. Isla saw the half eaten sandwich on the table and immediately started laughing, her eyes twinkling. “I see you’ve been greedy again.” Silas always seemed to love food no matter what so she wasn’t surprised to see a sandwich sitting half eaten on the table. She heard Silas ask if she wanted something to eat and that her maid Courtney wasn’t going to be here so she had to settle for microwavable food.
Isla’s face dropped into a frown. “Aw man, Courtney! I miss her food. Just give me a sandwich.” Isla sighed as she took off her sweater. For some reason it was really hot today. “well im definitely not expecting a Gordon Ramsey meal since Courtney’s not here.” She paused stifling a laugh. Isla finally felt like she was able to relax as she sat back into the couch. She put her her legs up on the table wondering what Silas was gonna say. She was sure she wouldn’t like it but wanted to get a reaction out of her. “So what have you been up to lately.” Isla asked. There was an elephant in the room because of the fight she had with Isabella right in front of everyone at the yacht party. but she wanted to ease into the conversation a bit more.
