The confirmation that Josie and her brother had signed a prenup gave Aisling some peace of mind. It meant that this process might not be as long and drawn out. It also relieved her to hear that she was staying away from the press. “Well, at least one of you still has their wits about them.” She quipped, still stunned that Josie had the most sense between the two of them. “If you want, I can talk to Sean and see if I can get him to stop talking to them going forward.” She offered. It wouldn’t undo what was already done and it was highly likely that her brother just wouldn’t listen but she wanted to at least try to prevent the situation from getting worse.
Josie began to sob as she recounted what had transpired between her and her husband and when she put her head on Aisling’s shoulder, Aisling froze up for a second, unsure of what to do. She realized that Josie probably just needed some comfort and so she hugged her back, the way she would if she were comforting one of her children. “I’m sorry, Josie.” She whispered to her, knowing that if the tables were turned and Robin had left in the way Sean did, she would be just as broken.
